We've finished the engineering on the new Native and the pilot went well.

Once the new Native is in production, a larger version will not be difficult. Then we'll make the new FRN version and work on a Chief.

C06 Yachtsman / Tusk:
sal wrote:We do have prototypes for the C06 ("Yachtsman" or "Tusk"). Eric did a couple of very nice designs a couple of years ago. Making the model is proving to be challenging.

We had hoped to make the model in H1, but we couldn't make the marlin spike in H1. The maker tht works work H1, wasn't interested in making it. A maker that can make it cannot work with H1.

We're still considering a way to make them at this time.

I was just about to do another search to see what's been mentioned about this over the past month -- thanks for the heads up.

My most anticipated knives of this (next?) year are the

1) S90V Para 2
2) USN H-1 Catcherman PE (PLEASE make this!!!)
3) New G-10 Native (FFG? S90V?)

I dont think so... I think the blade is too small to have both serrations and PE.

I think CE on a blade this small is basically useless, but Spyderco has made them in the past.

A wee update on the Ed Schempp's "Tuff "...from BF

The model has been alterred to use a Titanium RIL instead of the Ti Compression lock. At least the first version. We're still refining the Ti Integral Compression lock. We're waiting on a prototype now.

The "Stop'Lock" is being engineered to fit a Military model.

We're still using CPM-3V for the blade.

sal

I guess we'll have to settle for an RIL for the time being....

^I imagine that also means the integral compression lock version of the Paramilitary 2 some people have been craving has no time frame, assuming it will be made.
