Not sure if this helps or if it's just another example of "poor finishing" or whatever, but this Microtech has both a really nice stonewashed finish and grind lines showing through and this was a $400 knife.
My 15V Para 3 shows no grind lines through the finish and neither does my factory second 15V PM2 (it has 1 scratch line near the tip that made it a second). That is something I would associate with poor finishing and QC oversight and would definitely not be happy about at this price point. I like to put my own lines (scratches) on the blade. Uneven finish is not typical of Spyderco judging by my ~200 or so Spydie collection...
I also wouldn't be interested in a $400 knife with grind lines showing through, but we all get to choose with our wallets.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

Visible grind lines on a $200 knife is ridiculous. I would exchange that. That should be sold as B stock.
exactly, would be not acceptable for me, just checked my 15v Millie which arrived today. Looks good, no belt grind markings. Shouldn't have these ...
I can overlook smal issues on the edge as I do sharpen the knifes and eventually that gets fixed but these grind lines on pic 1 .. noo way
