Hey gang, I don't like to bring up NCAA in our N.F.L. thread, but looks like there's some MAJOR DRAMA going on in College Football. Heck, this is prolly old news but, looks like the SEC will.be adding the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners!! - In response to that, the ACC, PAC12 & BIG10 are forming an alliance that will rule on any further merging. I think anyways lol

I'm hoping that now that the players can get paid that the insanely rich alumni of UT will spend the money to get the best players. Because the recruiting the past 15 years has been horrible and that has killed the program. That is UT's only shot at competing with Oklahoma and Alabama... To open the wallet. We'll see how long Sarkisian can stay sober.

Minshew traded to the Eagles for a conditional 6th round pick in the '22 draft. Could go up to a 5th round pick if Minshew plays in 50% of plays in three games this season.

Patriots just released Cam Newton!

On one hand I'm shocked but on the other I'm not surprised at all. Cam Newton was either going to be the starter or he wasn't going to be on the team at all. Personally, one of the only reasons I thought Cam would start the season is because if he started the season as a backup and they needed to bring him in for some reason, I do not believe he would compete to his fullest ability, which has been barely good enough as is. I assumed he would start the season with a short leash and would inevitably lose that job to Mac mid season or so.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out with unvaccinated players getting cut and how willing the other teams are to sign them. Especially the fringe roster players.

Also I can't imagine getting fired from my job then hired by another company across the country and being expected to show up there in 12 hours lol. Wild.

Pretty good game to kick off the season I think! Interested in how Dak does in his first game back, how well that high powered offense can match up against that tough Bucs D.

I also have both Dak and Brady in fantasy leagues, so I'm hoping for a shoot out
