Curious if there's been any movement on resurrecting the Superhawk as well. Both the spyder and super hawks are such great knives.
If they would just reintroduce the Superhawk with a Spyderedge they would sell several more than they did with that original plain edged version. Hawkbills are at their highest performance level with TEETH. I'm still scratching my head as to why they made the original SUPERHAWK in PE only. Had they made the original Superhawk model with TEETH they would have sold a truck load of them I'm sure.

Personally I don't have much use for a plain edged Hawkbill myself. Just look at the sales history of the Harpy for instance. I doubt if even 5% of all the Harpy models were ever made with plain edged versions. Serrated Hawkbill blades have dozens of more practical uses than their plain edged counterparts.

I really hope they drop a new sprint run.
I had mine stolen from my kit at work.
If anyone wants to sell a spyderedge version PM me

You might want to go check out Bladeforums.com. Occasionally I'll see one for sale every so often. But they usually find buyers pretty quick. Yeah it's high time we had another Sprint Run of the Spyderhawk. But I'm also holding out hope that they will consider a new, revamped version as well. I would just love a Spyderhawk with a G-10 handle for instance. And I'm sure they would sell a lot of them with a better handle material.

Yeah get a Gold Membership over at Bladeforums and you can buy, sell and trade over there with no problem. And a Gold Membership I think is still about $30 a year. I need to renew mine soon. Most of the guys over there that have a Gold Membership and have been there at least 3 years are usually very safe to deal with.

Get a Tasman in the meantime. It could be a long wait, if it even happens at all.

Perhaps a dealer exclusive could be commissioned with something crazy like K390 or cruwear and gitd scales or vibrant zome pattern?

....and DLC. I'd buy it with the quickness!

If the Goddard, Ayoob and other niche models can sell as well as they do, I could see another run of these doing well.

Now that's an interesting prospect. I would love to see first hand how well "magnacut" would perform with TEETH. But that would also be most interesting to have a premium hawkbill blade with a high performance blade steel. I have nothing against VG-10 but I have so many Spyderco Hawkbill blades in VG-10 already.

And again it would be so cool to have a premium Spyderco Hawkbill blade with a G-10 handle as well.

Magnacut with teeth cuts very well indeed. My Native Salt has impressed me so far with its edge-holding and sharpenability (not sure that's a real word but it oughta be). Those deep scallops have been a real beaver on heavy cardboard, rope, and small green limbs. I'd love to see what a hawkbill Magnacut SE with some shallower serrations could do.

Yeah I've heard that from two other trusted knife buddies as well. Another steel that impressed me for serrated blade uses is CTS-XHP. Do realize that the properties that make for good serrated blade performance may not necessarily do equally as good in plain edge.
I covered those bases to let everyone know that I would also welcome a SPYDERHAWK 2 in any blade steel that will do well in full SE. Also I think it's high time we get a Spyderco Hawkbill folder with a G-10 handle.
