I initially joined this forum about a year and a half ago when I first saw a picture of the soon-to-come Bow River so I could track when it would be released. The team nailed this one and I think it's hands down the best value in the Spyderco lineup. I'll have it on me when I fish these creeks and rivers.

This year we took a day trip out to Pescadero State Beach and saw a pretty neat heart shaped hole in the side of one of the rock formations. I've been carrying an Amalgam on me everywhere since Spyderco put it into production, so out it came to pose for a photograph! I like to think of this as a pictorial representation of my love for Spyderco products and the company as a whole. I felt pretty cheesy writing that last sentence...but that doesn't make it any less true :D
I have many reasons to be thankful to Spyderco. Consider this opportunity just one more added to the list. Thanks to the team at Spyderco for the opportunity and for hosting this fun contest!

Paramilitary 2 is one of my favorite Spyderco models and one of my favorite knives in general.
I decided to modify the look a bit, so I've taken the DLT trading exclusive Spyderco Paramilitary 2 M390 (****, I love this steel), added custom black-and-blue carbon fiber textured scales, titanium blue anodized screws and lanyard plug, and a black deep carry titanium clip. What I've got in result is my dream Paramilitary 2 M390)

I'm not much of a writer, so here's my short description of my entry.
We live in an area hit by a large wildfire last year so my wife wanted a small tool that could pry, breach and if necessary be used for self defense that would fit into a backpack. The WarriorHawk with it's titanium carbonitride coating, solid full tang design, and compact size made it the perfect choice for us as an emergency tool that we hope to not have to use but have full confidence will be up to the task should the occasion arise.

Definitely A LOT of nice photos...and just think, the professional "members" haven't even made their submissions yet :o

This is why I haven't decided on my submission yet. I'm just a guy with a phone camera, so I consider myself lucky to have won last year. This year, I haven't come up with anything that I'd call a winner.

Your photo was unbelievable last year. This will be my second year entering, and as someone who also "just has a phone camera", you set the bar very high

Time to trim out vines climbing up on my back deck.
The SpyderHawk is excellent for this work.
Thank you Spyderco.

After several attempts, I finally got a successful hi-resolution upload.
I think my issue was attempting to upload a .png image, not a jpg. I usually default to .png to avoid compression. Just a heads-up.

Forum name: pR13S7
Model: Spyderco C10ZFPOR Endura-4 CUTLERY SHOPPE EXCLUSIVE
Honestly, I have never been a fan of knives with a blade more than 3-3.5 inches. But there is one exception to this rule - my Endura with a great HAP40. Now if you ask me what knife you would take with you on a trip or hiking, then my answer will be - of course, Endura!

Resubmission, VERTICAL shot....
Province with Sharpmaker because they go together in the field. With a nice multicolor blurred background make for a nice portrait. And I am bias because I am one of the designers.

It's fantastic to see the progression of picture quality throughout the years
This year's calendar is proving to become another great one!
My entry for this year's contest:
Forum name: DutchBlades
Model: C92AWP - Spyderco Kopa 3 Flavor
In light of the Kopa's recently released stainless sprint (C92), I figured I'd pay homage to my favorite of the Kopa lineup.
The Kopa is a gem of a knife and one of the best small EDC choices if you're looking for an extra bit of class at this size.
The recent stainless version forms the perfect platform for engraving, whilst the older versions are a showcase for various natural materials.
With a mixture of Pearl, Abalone, and Black Pearl, the variant shown here is the one that made me love natural materials even more.
It's amazing to see the beauty which nature can create at any scale.
