Price just killed it for me. Bummer.
I also would have liked it cheaper, but it has G10 over stainless liners, so it seems that material and fitment costs just can't be on par with the FRN.

I wonder if the slipit and lockback will have unlined solid G10.
A $100 isn't small change (to me anyways), I get it. Although as Attila points out given the materials used the price is appropriate. I'm likely to buy this, although it means another knife on my list will have to be demoted in the que. I predict I will own many versions of this knife in the future so I want to get one of the new ones sooner rather than later so I can give feedback on it for future runs :D
Yea, I get it. I just don't try to rationalize prices. I don't buy knives I don't feel are worth it to me and this one falls in that category. S30v and g10 aren't expensive, especially considering the size of the knife. It's personal preference obviously, but I can't justify the price for that knife.
Same for me. Linerless, thinner blade, lower cost and I’d be in, but this is too many compromises for me.
How do you do a liner less compressions lock? Maybe the slipit version will be linerless. Fingers crossed.

Ok, ok. Single liner in that case, or hope the back lock model better fits my wants.

Especially for little knife. Another Techno?
I can live with $107 price for small knife as long as I like everything about it. I can justify 4 mm blade for Shaman, but I do not need 2.5" thick blade.

Compression lock knives require double steel liners, therefore simply replacing G-10 with FRN wouldn't be such a great improvement.

It looks nice, but too thick for its length, IMO. This probably has to do with required tolerances on the compression lock. I recall reading that it is a difficult lock to manufacture correctly at scale.

For me its not really an "improvement" that I'm looking for. More so just the aesthetics, and FRN with bidirectional texturing is quintessential Spyderco!

This one will come down to besting the Dragonfly for me. I actually prefer knives with no thumb ramp so it has that going for it. My biggest hesitation is that I like the Dragonfly in Salt form, I really don't need a teeny knife in S30V.

I can just imagine someone yelling that out in the background of a debut video for this knife.

I think there is a mistake in the advertised blade thickness because .125ā€ is approx 3.17mm not 3.7mm. If the .125ā€ thickness is correct, the Little Native will be slightly thicker than a Sage 5.

Kind of reminds me of the Chaparral with a longer blade.

If this is true, it greatly limits the appeal of the compression lock when used in small knives for me. For small knives, double steel liners add weight and the extra strength is wasted, IMO.

Interpretation. Yes, the Chaparral has the longer blade.
