Well, looks like I won't be attending this year after all. Had some unexpected car-in-the-shop time this week, draining the knife shopping fund. On top of that, last year the flight prices were pretty reasonable and -while this year getting to CO is still cheap- the flight back is decidedly costlier. Oh well. :rolleyes: Have a great time at the sale guys! Last year was tons of fun and I wish we could have hung out again this year! Perhaps next time it'll work out. :)

Hey, I'm new to this board. I live in Golden right now and I wonder if there is chance to get into the shop if I'll be there early on Saturday. I'm a little to afraid, that this won't work at all for me, when I read that people start camping there the day before..

You will have no problem getting in if you show up early Saturday morning. The sale runs all day and they cycle thru inventory so that you can still get good deals. Jaba came back in last year right before they were going to close and scored one of the best knives out of the sale!

are there any knives that open only two handed, you would recommend looking for? I want to take it to Germany and they are pretty strict when it comes to knife laws.

oh the PITS looks beautiful, but I doubt that it will be there in a reasonable price range. the urban seems
to be the one I will try to find.
so if you see a clueless person lurking around it's probably the new guy :D

There might be a few Urbans, but since they are discontinued, there probably won't be that many.

I would look for a Pingo, SPYDK, Roadie, or Squeak.

Germany also allows fixed blades less than 12cm for EDC as long as they are not advertised as a weapon. A few that might be practical due to their smaller size for EDC are:

Swick 4
Enuff, and
Enuff Salt

There should be some, the ukpk's are Golden made models, you just have to decide if you like the leaf shaped blade or drop point.

For anyone that was at the sale last year, did they have any Titanium Millies (regular or fluted), and if so how much were they?

Very excited for the sale. Feels like forever that we have been looking forward to it. Its like christmas: part 1.

@runzl I am new to it too, and posted a whole thread thats several pages long now about stuff like when to show up, how its organized, what is available, what prices are etc. You can read it here if you want more info: //forum.spyderco.com/viewto ... =2&t=69036" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
