During the fall/winter I am going to univeristy right now taking computer science. During the last 4 summers I have been working for the telephone company installing and repairing telephone lines.

Apprentice Machinist. Finished all the trade school now I just have to do my last year of hours. I would love to someday make my own knives probably why I choose to be a Machinist. I also have a 2 year diploma in tool & die. Guess I picked the right thing to collect.

Like so many others, I am a full time student working on my BSN. I'm a senior and I graduate in May so I'm very excited. At work (hospital), I usually carry either a Calypso JR SE, Cricket, or Emerson Mini CQC7. Otherwise, I carry an Emerson Mini Commander, Schrade Middleman Jack, Cold Steel Tuff Lite, and a Spyderco Mouse.

I am a team leader for a group of programmers who develop software for state goverment. Been doing this for eight years. In my spare time I am training to become a "Use of Force Instructor".

I've just realised that I haven't replied yet, so ...

For all 17 years of my working career I've been a Land Surveyor. Since joining a local government Architects office about 9 years ago my job duties also include darftsman, number cruncher for the education department, 3D artist, small building works designer and contracts manager.
A bit varied, but the more strings to your bow, the less likely you are to get laid off <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

My work caries are an FRN Cricket or a G-10 Native depending on whether I'm on site or in the office.

I help take care of the public realtions, marketing and advertising duties here at Spyderco (along with the help of several others). Pre-Spyderco I was a flight attendant for a decade and prior to that a professional college student!

IT security/network/system engineer currently unemployed (last job annoyed me so badly i quit without getting a new one first).
been carrying a bucktool first and switched to a leatherman wave. in the end realized blades of a multitool are worth nothing and bought a spyderco ss native.

I work on the Chesapeak Bay(on tugs/barges). I am a tug Capt. I also pump bunker oil to ships and power plants. Yes I own a mariner. For 8 or so yrs. it has not failed me. Now the only problem is, I have the spidie virus . I've started to collect them,along with my other expensive hobbies(H-D's, Street Rods, Huntin & atv's. Nuff said. Drew

I'm a Program Director for a psychosocial day support program (state mental health system). Daily...I normally carry a Delica to work. When not working...I carry an Endura. I've been a volunteer fire fighter for 15 years and have utilized the Endura on more than one occasion during fire/rescue operations.

Wow! I just finished reading through this thread - can’t believe I didn't post earlier.

I am recently (one year) retired US. Army - 26 yrs active duty (AGR) with the Calif Army National Guard , Ten years a medic, last 16 in Personnel and Training. Now – Thank you Kahz – I am a professional enjoyer of life and a Spydieholic.

EDC for me is a PE Navigator or PE Mouse or FRN SE Dragonfly inside RF pocket, and either FRN PE Native or PE or SE Millie clipped to same pocket. Will be adding a G-10 Police or Rookie to my EDC as soon as I can get my hands on them.
I have become an avid collector and am continually impressed at the quality of Spyederco knives.

A Spyderco and forum newbie I am - with just one PE Massad Ayoob to my name (more to come I hope). Other than that, working towards a PhD in information systems, because I got totally bombed during the dot com era, and realize that my skills and abilities were just not good for anything else except bullsh... er... research and writing.
