Joyce, can we at least see the map result?

I submitted at the last minute but got through on my iPhone.

I wanted to see the place marks on the map on PC but the contest is no longer shown or for that matter the map. Sad that I missed it. Wanted to see if there were any more entries from Sri Lanka, my own country.

I'd like to see the map, too. :)

I'm taking from the silence that no one else here won anything? I guess the rest who did are not forum members. Kinda disappointing. I was looking forward to seeing what you guys scored!

Maybe "don't worry this isn't an April fools joke" doesn't mean the same thing on April 1st as we thought it did :) .

That would explain why the map didn't update! It was all fake. Brilliant.

As a programmer, I understand that sometimes things don't go the way you expect, and it takes time to debug what is going wrong with a program :) . Certainly *some* people's locations got placed on the map, whether they came from people who entered via a facebook link or from here, is unknown.

Certainly Spyderco *does* give out freebies, I won a Resilience, Spyderco beanie and pewter bead in last year's giveaway for National Knife Day :) .

1st post here. I'm also an IT guy, I concur on "unplanned events" with programs. Sometimes it's just easier to full format and reload...

I entered the contest basically because of my admiration of Spyderco knives the potential free item being just icing on the blade so to speak.
Not seeing the updated map was a disappointment as it shows where the Spydie contingent is most populated.

To all who entered and received notification of "Win!" :spyder: Gratzi! :spyder:

Joyce and the SpyderCrew "thanks for the opportunity" :)

Spyderco would like to thank everyone who participated in our April Fool's Day Contest. All winners have been notified, so please be sure to check your email and see if you've won. There were 1,828 people from 59 countries around the world who entered.

Our apologies for the glitches with the contest. Everyone who entered was included even if your pin didn't show up on the map. There were so many entries, we ended up overwhelming Google Maps. Hope eveyone had a fabulous April Fool's Day.
