I think it's a tragedy you have both and you should send one my way. I don't even care which one :D

Agreed Sir :)

I agree but wouldn't call it snobbery. More of an appreciation of nice materials and edges. That others don't get it is their loss. Hope the quote has not been taken out of context.

Wouldn't the marketing people at Spyderco want to know what people don't like about their products or practices, regardless of whether they agree with them or not?

I would think dissent would want to be heard on the Forum, since for every Forum member that expresses a negative perception or opinion like this one, there are probably plenty of others like him, both off and on the Forum, like the general public, who feel the same way or moreso; and it could be very valuable to Spyderco to know that - seems like just good business to know what all of your customers want and don't want.

So, I would encourage the Forum to respect and accommodate all opinions, regardless of how much they make sense or not, as long as they are made in the spirit of constructive criticism, expressed without animosity, and aimed at improvement of Spyderco. :) :) :)

Oh no worries, the context was pretty thin :) . We mean "snob" in the most delightfully eccentric way possible. Not like the mean girls in high school.

I hear you Blerv :) I share the eccentricity.

I do agree somewhat with Spinynorman too. A lot of of folks were very hard with the OP even after he changed his tone a bit. For me it was the time to be nice. We've all put our foot in mouth here at one time or another over time.

When we take ourselves too seriously then we are all doomed :D
