I thinking fake

A place to list and reference all Spyderco counterfeits, clones, and replicas that are found. Anything that isn't a legitimate Spyderco fits in this area.

Those fake UKPKs scare me. They look really real unless you know what to look for.

We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

Another way to tell, is this grind (flaw?) on the blade, which on all of mine there are none:

Think what you like, but I can show you plenty of legitimate Spyderco knives where there's a transition like that between the grind and the tang. I also would not be terribly surprised if at least a few of the fakes did not have it. It's a random imperfection and thus not an accurate indicator of anything. OTOH, the absence of clip mounting cutouts on the left scale of an alleged black G-10 UKPK is a 100% reliable indicator of a fake, since all real UKPKs have those cutouts on both sides.

Well it says "replica" so I'd say so. It doesn't appear to have a compression lock™.

I did a quick eBay check, and found a Para 2 for $167, so why buy a replica? Of course the $99 shipping to New Zealand was a bit eye watering. Since most people I buy from charge $8-$12 that's a trifle rich.
