No contentioniousness implied, and I consider myself better informed - thank you. That makes sense. I bet it's true for a lot of US companies, too? (I.e., that they own plants in the PRC?)

And yes, the fact that the OP dropped out has calmed the waters quite a bit.

BTW, for those who are uninitiated, Nutella is the original nectar of the gods. But...

...it is imported - too bad!!! ;)

Hey man, it's imported FROM GERMANY!!!!! :D (not too far away from my home...)

Actually, I'm surprised you guys even know NUTELLA. I was thinking that eventually SOMETHING good was kept exclusively to Germany or at least Europe...

Oh well, I'm happy you got to know the BEST "spread" in the world. All that PB may be OK, but THERES NOTHING LIKE NUTELLA!

I'm watching the Benchmade SPOT show vid from Nutnfancy now.

They have a Gold Class Griptilian coming out for 2010 with M4 and Carbon Fiber handles. $400.

Figured it would be pertinent to the thread.

Oh Nutella is one of the best things on earth. Nutella and banana, good. Nutella and a crepe, great. Nutella, Banana, and a Crepe, simply fantastic, then throw some whip cream, sliced almonds, and coco powder on top and it makes for one amazing dessert.

I actually worked for a month (during grad school) making JIFF Peanut Butter. It was fun.

Sort of.

I, however have no experience with jelly or jam.

On a related note.

Will peanut butter stain uncoated M4? Someone needs to find this out.

...Dont get me started on Peanut butter! I've been addicted since I was four years old. I tried Jiff once (don't really get USA peanut butter's downunder) could not believe how sweet it was, talk about added sugar! I always chuckle a little at Jiff though as here Jif it's a very well known cleaning cleaning product.

P.s My knives often encounter the peanut butter jar... I havn't seen any staining from peanut butter with CPM M4, CPM D2 or CPM440V :D I do always wipe my blade down after use though.

Oh and if the OP wont buy a Taiwan made Bradley M4, he can always commission Gayle Bradley himself for custom... could cost a few bob more though. :)

Seems like a well made hard work folder, the 'liner lock' looks actually more like an inside frame lock, its massive. I love the CF for handles, just dont like the handle design is missing any kind of 'guard'. I always look at a knife both ways, tool and potentiallly defensive 'tool'. I like the size, the steel, the CF on it, too bad the grip doesnt look 1st sight love to me, but I will maybe change my mind, if I get the chance to handle it.

Nutella is great, its a chocolate hazelnut spread. You should give it a try if you can find it at your local grocery store.

Given its primary designer, I would be certain that these considerations were thought of - it'd be interesting to know what Mr. Bradley's thoughts were (I'm not saying you're wrong, at least for yourself).

A little, but oil in the peanut butter probably serves as some protection too. So a bit of a trade off really.

Oh and the "fluff-a-nutter" sandwiches are just plain wrong. Really, who puts cremed marshmellow on a perfectly good PB sammich?

Jiffy PB&J on toast....mmmmmm...with a big glass o milk......mmmmmmm

ON TOPIC - I had a question about the GB folder. Is the carbon fiber exactly the same as the Sage 1?

And provides a (to me, at least) surprisingly good grip. At least as good as the peel-ply CF and far, far better IMHO than the slick-side Caly3. YMMV!

Nutella and the MArshmallow stuff is the bomb.

To stay on Target, I have to have one of the Bradely's. I will be purchasing one this week. I went to the local knife store and handled one. The pictures do not do it justice. You have to hold one to appreciate it. As soon as I get back in town, I will be buying it.
