I don't blame you at all, I'd rather it wasn't myself. ;)
If it's not I'll just have to try and find a way of getting it imported via a UK dealer rather than a postal service.

The biggest teaser for me is Kristi's hint that it will be 'something different' .... Does that mean it is a new knife ? A newly released knife ? Or a variation of an older disco'd knife ?

So many questions, so much anticipation.... :D

All we can do here is to build up the tension so it'll bubble over when it finally is ammounced and released :p

Daniel, am not sure if that was a reference to the knife, or to the way the "logistics" of the project would be handled. But it is fun to speculate, and am sure Kristi is taking evil pleasure out of reading our speculations. :D

ROFL Paul :D

I'm reading this thread gleefully for the comments and wishes that are coming through. I'm betting Sal & Kristi already have a fair idea what it'd be but have to finalise logistics of choice, production, engraving, selling, shipping etc.

Still it is heaps of fun to see people clamouring over what they wish to have. I have my own set of wishes, but fat chance of anyone listening to what I want.

IMHO it probably wouldn't be anything that has previously been released. Nor would it most likely be anything that is too 'ordinary'. However, the speculation can always be that due to harder economic times the 2009 model might be a more 'affordable' version ??? who knows.

We've seen FRN versions, G10 versions, S/S versions..... maybe time for a micarta forum knife ??? :p
Cheers

Judging from Kristi's post no word will be forthcoming until the end of March, or even into April. I'm getting all itchy over this now.

Forum Knife

Normally I don't cause ripples on any forum that i frequent, but I was thinking (which is a dangerous thing). How about if we reserve enough of the orange handled militaries and put a black blade on the forum knives. Then engrave them with the Forum logo and the buyers screen name. I just think that would be a very cool combination and I would probably want 2 if the cost wasn't t outrageous. See what I get for thinking! :D

I don't know, 97 post in less than two days, four hours since it was announced, I think we can say there is good interest, and that Kristi is finding joy in watching us squirm in anticipation.

I love these ideas. In case of Dragonfly I will buy as many as allowed. Hopefully two pieces limit will be canceled

Alex,
You must be kidding. I think, this is a real purpose of this thread :D

Actually, I would love to add one more suggestion. After two days of thinking I came to conclusion that 75 mm Persian will be a great Forum knife, especially with gold bug
