Maybe I am way off base here. The knife in question looks like a Spyderco, but does anyone have any real facts to present, not just their ideas or what was overhead this place or another. We all fall into this trap, trial by rumor and so on. I agree it sure looks like a Spyderco but at the same time I am not going to get rid of the few good Benchmades I have. I think Sal has said in past posts that the legal path is hardy worth going after. It is not nor has it ever been a perfet world, espacially in business when it main goal is money over doing what is right. I may have to go out any by another Spydie soon.

Just wanted to make clear that if you are referring to my post I simply posted an idea that I read on the Benchmade forum. I don't agree with the idea but it did make me think about things differently.

That is why I like this type of discussion as we can all see things from different views.

As stated before, I just sold 2 of my last 3 Benchmades and the money I receive will be going towards 2 new Spydercos.

While I agree that things are not perfect, it is still not an excuse for me to not try to be as good as I can. That said, I do not wish to support companies that blatently steal or ripoff other companies or other peoples ideas. Now, I'm not saying that Benchmade is doing this with the Vex. It would appear so, but I have made my judgement on things that have happened in the past. The Vex thing just threw me over the top. Even if Benchmade has received permission from Spyderco I no longer wish to support them. The whole NGK / Les thing settled my mind on that. Other than that right now Benchmade doesn't make any good G10 knives anymore. They also don't make any good 2.5" blades. I'm not sure what's going on over at BM but things are changing and it's kind of weird.

Sorry......rambling.

No offense taken. I was not refering to anyones post. I agree that the present offering from BM leaves me rather cold and Spyderco seems to come up with a lot of good choices for a lot of different wants.

give it a rest people. it is clear that no one here knows for sure what is going on, so why are you all posting? The original poster did not ask for an opinion.

If you take the time to read my post properly (it's #48), you will see that I did not edit anything out of my quoting of The Deacon's first "fact". I only highlighted three of the words.

I then stated my own "fact".

Anyhow, I refer you to my previous post.
K, my bad :)

Jeep is trademark, you can call a Kia Sophia a Jeep but...

Jeep AKA DiamlerChrysler has Deeper pockets and really good lawyers.

Just don't buy a Kia that looks like a Jeep!

So, word from Benchmade.

Unfortunatley the statement doesn't say whether the agreement is amicable or not.
I truly hope it is.

Simona,

Me thinks you are not a lawyer, but a sniper instead. :)

....or maybe you're just a lawyer who really takes care of business.

hehe, nono, ... but do not forget -- better for you, when you meet two these shooting rifles, rather than one lawyer, believe me :D
NOT MINE, it´s zenheretic rifle :D , i have only one plastic "Vienna" pistol, Glock 26 loaded with Mozart kugeln ..really i have not arsenal like he have!!! :D :D
Ask him first, he have a lot of weapon, what he posted,he have probably all Spydercos, what exist and at the end.... this unbelievable strange dog....it´s live or battery operated or from another galaxy, nobody don´t know..
I will not surprised, if he have spaceship and few aircraft carriers too ...

click to icon, up, "Insert Image" and write to here link to pic..

I have cal. 9mm Luger,

btw, really i do not understand why these cartridges have name now "Luger", because they, time ago, renamed from 9mm Parabellum to 9mm Luger
both names represented WWII nazi pistols,so i do not understand why from "Parabellum" to "Luger"

Maybe hm ... who know, these peoples, who did this smart thing from renaming Parabellum-Luger are now EU leaders, so then i can understand ... :p
