Yeah Philly really surprised me with that win yesterday! I’m not sure what to think of Dak Prescott now though! They need to be careful how much they pay him and really need to hire the right coach because they have some really talented players.

And in a crazy turn of events, the Raiders chances of making the playoffs are still alive! Including themselves, they also needed the Ravens, Jets, Saints, and Colts to win yesterday. I think the biggest shocker from yesterday was seeing the Jets beat the Steelers! That was about as surprising as seeing them beat the Cowboys this season.

Next week, the Raiders will need to win and will still need the Browns, Ravens, Texans, and Colts to win and they’ll get in. The craziest part is that they all seem like winnable games for those teams!

And on Pete Carroll again, I don’t think he’s a bad coach at all but definitely not better than Belichick. I actually consider Pete Carroll one of the top coaches in the league right now. I think I actually said, in this thread, that he was one of the coaches good enough to put together a game plan that can beat the Patriots in the regular season this year. They didnt play obviously but I still think he’s a really good coach.

Hahahah, I have to agree. There is NO coach greater than Belichick. It can't even be an arguement, it just is what it is.
So they ought to call it the Bill BellichicK trophy?? and not the Lombardi trophy   ??? He can't even compare to the legendary Vince Lombardi. No the Emperor is not the best coach. Even the coach that mentored him was considerably better than he is>> and I'm speaking of the great Bill Parcells.

As far as I know Emperor Belly ache/ulcer has never even coached in the college ranks. So you're saying that all the great work that Pete Carroll did with the USC Trojans was just a fluke  Really??!!! I've got a bunch of friends who are die hard college fans that would bitterly disagree with that. Yep looking at the entire picture I do indeed rate Pete Carroll better and I'm not alone with that either.

Oh and by the way I don't ever remember even one incident of Pete Carroll ever so much as being accused of cheating or foul play in college or the NFL. When you factor in the entire big picture ( including integrity) I actually put Bill Walsh of the 49ers fame from back in the Joe Montana/Jerry Rice Era far above most of the present day coaches, But enough of this Chevy vs Ford argument.

What is with all the name calling. This sounds like grade school sports talk. I am all about trash talk but that sauce is weak. ;)

I do get a little satisfaction knowing they get under your skin a little. Personally, I cannot give it back. Mahomes is ma-homie! :)

Ok now that the playoffs are all but decided, what is your Superbowl prediction? I say Ravens vs 49ers

Young lady you are just going to have to be more realistic and not be given over to fantasy :D :D

No not mad at all>> Really I think it's all funny anymore >>> actually if I had a cool thousand bucks to bet on who is getting into the Superbowl that would be my ultimate long shot pick to bet on. Could you imagine the colossal payout that would be if it were to come to fruition

Back in 1969 when I was in high school I had my dad, uncle and school coach all call me an idiot predicting that Joe Namath and Jets would win the Superbowl. And then none of them would talk to me when I turned out to be right :D Yeah that was a huge upset as well and few seem to remember.

Of course you don't, because it would eviscerate your own argument. Also, the Seahawks aren't the target of a non stop, league wide, witch hunt like the Patriots are.

None the less, I would be glad to refresh your memory on Pete Carrolls cheating history with the Seahawks! :D

• In 2012 the Seahawks and Pete Carroll were fined an undisclosed amount and they lost 2 team practices for having illegal and excessive contact with players before the official league mandated date.

• In 2014 the Seahawks were fined $200,000 and Pete Carroll was fined $100,000 and they lost 2 team practices for violating the same rules they violated in 2012.

• In 2016 the Seahawks were fined $400,000, lost a 5th round pick, lost 3 days of OTA's AND Pete Carroll was fined $200,000 for running illegal practices and excessive contact with players, AGAIN!!!

• In 2017 the Seahawks were fined $100,000 becoming the first team to receive a monetary fine for violating concussion protocol during a game.

To get ahead of the deflection I often hear, something about how what the Patriots are accused of is worse and blah blah blah... Well, unfortunately cheating is cheating. The Patriots should not be held to a different standard just because they've been on a run of unprecedented greatness for the past two decades.

Of course you won't. Because there are no witches to hunt in the Seahawks organization>> at least that anyone is aware of. But the Pats are always on the radar screen for a myriad of reasons>> and they get suspensions and fines too from what I'm told. Why not Pittsburgh, why not Miami, Why Not Arizona or why not the Oakland Raiders who have had a bad boy image in the past????? Reason being they apparently ain't breaking rules and cheating at this point in time >> or if they are they just haven't got caught yet.

I'm a bit confused here>> why is it getting so hostile on this thread   ??? And why isn't anyone else entitled to their own opinions and observations? Gee this just doesn't seem to be much fun anymore. OH well I rise above all of that and wish everyone here a really great Christmas holiday in spite of the dreary mood some of you all are stuck in :( Sincerely Merry Christmas to all of you :)

Oh by the way when you did all that research did Pete Carroll have any unpaid parking tickets or moving driving violations :D???

One of my neighbors actually got to meet Patrick Mahomes at a fundraiser last summer. He told me that Patrick is truly like talking to your likable next door neighbor. But if you hate certain NFL teams ( or the Chiefs in this instance) or certain players I can understand that. We all have our likes and dislikes. But that is truly giving a seemingly decent guy a bad rap that he doesn't deserve IMO. Patrick has already done a great deal for the community here in KC and from everything I'm told he's a decent guy too.

No none of this is getting under my skin per se>> I've just always been passionate about most everything I do and that's just me. I guess you could say that I'm the "Stephen A. Smith" of Spyderville :D :D And can you believe that him and Jerry Jones are friends in real life in spite of all his trash talk about the Cowboys :D

Pete Carroll has been cheating consistently since 2012... You can look up what I just explained for yourself if you want.

You're very much entitled to your own opinion but the problem arrises when opinions are stated as fact.

How noble and mature of you! Will you rise above all the petty name calling that you've been partaking in for the past 18 weeks too?
JD Spydo wrote: Oh by the way when you did all that research did Pete Carroll have any unpaid parking tickets or moving driving violations :D???
I didn't, but I did find an article that went into detail on the chicken bones stuck in Andy Reids throat. Really helped shed some light on why he is always CHOKING in the playoffs. :p

JD, it was joke. Kinda playing off the State Farm commercial. I guess that if I have to explain it then it wasn’t a very good one. I like Mahomes, what is not to like?

I was trying to jokingly ask you to bring it down a notch but that ain’t gonna happen. I’m out.

Reports out that the Saints are hosting Antonio Brown for a workout. This has to be them doing their due diligence for next season because there is 0% chance he plays in this years playoffs. If they sign him, the league will put him on the commissioners exempt list almost immediately. They're looking to avoid as much negative press as possible at this time in the season!
