Great catch. I was actually eyeing this one for many years now but never managed to get onto buying it. Great price too...last time I checked he was selling it for about $140 exchanged.

Yup. For the price of a Para 3 lightweight, it was a great deal that I immediately jumped on.

If Spyderco ever does a sprint of the Schempp Rock in Cruwear or Magnacut, that too would be an instabuy for me.

Just ordered the Amalgam. It will be my first Spyderco with a flipper tab. Looking forward testing the blade!

I really like mine , I would like to see a pivot and steel upgrade if it stays in the line up . Great large folder for my tastes . Dan

Just in! It's very comfortable in the hand. The blade is a good size with a bit of belly. Nice and thin behind the edge which worked great slicing up some cardboard. Action is good, detent is ok. Very light for it's size as well. Never paid a lot of attention to the Amalgam, but man what a pleasant surprise this is More testing to follow over the weekend.

Posting so I can have a hope of keeping track...waterway, enuff2, yojumbo, eventually magnacut PM2. Then I swear I'm done.

Why are they discontinuing this knife? It is wicked sharp right out of the box. I went to touch the blade and it felt like it just wanted to suck my finger right in to the bone, didn’t do it but wow it’s sharp.

Just ordered the Manix 2 salt in magnacut. I missed out on the first batch available at EU retailers, but Knife Lounge in DE has got new stock. Free shipping to the Netherlands (and many other EU countries). Can't wait!!
