MSRP of $430 for a liner lock. Street price is more than an Emerson liner lock at full price. Pretty steep cost will likely sideline me but it's an iconic design for sure.

That Lum Tanto definitely looks Brown and not OD Green!

There was a ParaMilitary2 CPM-M4 Tanto Black DLC Blade Natural G-10 C81GM4PTBK2 BladeHQ (USA) which dropped in JAN 2021 for $199.95.

That look Brown to anyone else or am I going color blind?
I typed Brown G-10 at first and then read the description. So you're not alone. :grin-sweat
Definitely brownish

Why did it have to be BHQ? Maybe someone else will have one to spare after the drop.

I hope DLT does a version as well.

Street price of $289.95 for a Japanese-made G-10 model is not surprising. The upcoming Stretch2 XL CruWear & Gray G-10 has a street price of $284.55.

There was a Lum Tanto HAP40/SUS420 Natural G-10 BladeHQ (Japan) released in FEB 2018 for $219.95.

I'm sure you're right about the additional cost being due to it being made in Japan. The liners and liner lock are steel not titanium like Emerson's are, which is another knock against its cost.

oh wow... i thought that price listed was msrp. that's nuts. i don't feel so sad about passing on it now. i'm not sure i understand why it's so expensive to make g10 knives in japan. i guess that's for a different thread though.

I love the trend of disco'd models being brought back as sprints. That lum looks good. Tried the chinese folder but never got my hands on a tanto of his.

Too bad shipping + customs would make this Lum Tanto a $400 USD knife for me and other europeans.
Hope everyone that gets one truely enjoys it!
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

That blade looks hollow ground in the photo but the Blade HQ listing says flat ground. Does anyone know which it is?

I’m not currently patronizing BHQ, but that’s a fine looking knife.

Also: I hear the people taking about price… but this is what happens when you have bad inflation.

inflation seems unlikely as the reason, considering the super special heat treat 15v manix sprint is only about half as much as this m390 liner lock.
