The parts of this show that were most memorable for me were the opening and closing credits. The patterns on those different doors/gates always brings back memories.

10 Items You Really Got from Comic Book Ads

I remember a lot of these ads in comic books back in the 1960s and early '70s. I never asked my parents to order any of them from the comic books.

However, I did end up getting a "Sea Monkeys" kit at a novelty shop at "Circus-Circus" while on a family trip to Las Vegas, at age 6. The same kit that was advertised in the comic books. I actually thought they would grow into little humanoid creatures, but alas, they were only very tiny brine shrimp, LOL.

Phones are Destroying the Movie Theaters ... & it's Getting Worse

This guy is hilarious, because not only is he passionate about movies, but he says exactly what everyone who has ever been in a movie theater with extremely annoying, distracting people around them are thinking.

I was starting to notice this trend many years ago, back when I used to go to movie theaters. Clearly, it's gotten much worse since then. Luckily, I haven't been to a movie theater since 2018, and even by then, I had become an infrequent moviegoer. I won't be going back to any theaters, either. Which is probably just as well, because I've heard that within a certain number of years, movie theaters are probably not even going to exist anymore.

Jim,

Don't know much about the theaters because I haven't been to one in so long I can't remember when the last time was.

People are pathetic with that phone stuff etc.

However.

I am an avid PC gamer and play a lot of CO-OP, team play. I don't consider console players gamers with their kiddie boxes, they can go back to their barbie dolls or coloring books. Some of the newer games are cross play with the console players, huge mistake IMO to subject us to those toxic people. They are the most toxic players by far and the biggest cheaters from what we have seen over time. I personally turn off cross play when I host because they are so bad.

We play shooter games where you have to be fast and accurate at range. Try and run and gun and you are dead, especially at the advanced difficulty level we play. No Call of duty BS here. Doesn't take any talent or effort to run around with a machine gun and spray the whole map. There is a rather large learning curve in the games we play and it takes real effort and time to learn to play well.

Well people need to communicate with the other teammates while playing, you know paying attention to what is going on in the game.

Basically I require people to have a headset and talk when I am hosting. Not normally an issue and really shouldn't ever be this day and age. With decent headsets running under $30. Not many PC gamers don't really have a headset or a microphone these days.

So when one says they don't have on I know they are lying and kick them immediately. They are talking to others on discord etc or something else. They aren't paying attention to the game at all usually. ;)

Now to the point, there are those, and it seem a lot of them that are on discord or some sort of social media while they are playing the game. >:[ Not paying attention like they are supposed to be doing, you know since it is a team effort and the others are counting on them. >:[

So I kick them. >:[

OMG, but never call those types out on it, they have a life so they say. :eye-roll

I just tell them:

"You can do whatever you want on your own time, but you are on my time now, so my game, my rules, pay attention or you are history."

No doubt, there are a ton of weird, entitled people out there. Those who act that way remotely are even worse, because they know there are no real consequences to their actions; no physical consequences, anyway.

Jim,

It's beyond pathetic really.

People can't spend a hour or 2 without looking at their cell phones etc?

That's bad, really bad.

Do any of you remember the episode of The Munsters where Herman Munster tried to join a fancy country club? Hilarious. I like how he looks scary but is very sweet and kind.

Jim
Jim,

He's not wrong.

The older movies do actually look better when shot on location.

I believe that a lot of the issues with the newer movies is they are considered content these days as was pointed out in another video.

That and the massive post processing they do which in my opinion is garbage.

I think the artistry is pretty much gone and we are left with garbage when all they care about is the bottom line.

Anyone remember this detective show?
I Pray Heaven to Bestow The Best of Blessing on THIS HOUSE, and on ALL that shall hereafter Inhabit it. May none but Honest and Wise Men ever rule under This Roof! (John Adams regarding the White House)

Follow the Christ, the King,
Live pure, speak true, right wrong, follow the King--
Else, wherefore born?" (Tennyson)

The only thing I remember about that show
was that he parked his Thunderbird inside his home.

If you have ever been in Las Vegas in the summer
that scene does indeed require "the suspension of disbelief".

Surprisingly, I do not. I never saw it.

Although, wasn’t there a more recent, short-lived reboot, maybe in the 2000s? I seem to recall something called “Vega$” being advertised around that time, though I never watched it, either. Or maybe I imagined it?
