I didn't see it until 5 years later, when I was 15. But my older brother saw it when it first came out in theaters, and he was pretty freaked out by it.

When I first saw The Exorcist in 1978, at age 15, I felt fine. I knew that if it were something that was happening to ME, it would be terrifying. And the movie has real atmosphere and great acting. But it did not disturb me, and it didn't haunt me like it did my older brother. The same is true today. I do not scare as easily as he does. Which is ironic, because when I was around 3 or 4 years old, my brother would sometimes force me to watch Frankenstein and other horror movies on TV with him in order to scare me (which only worked for a very short time).

I actually tried to watch that Blue Bloods spin off Boston Blue. It looked promising and has Donnie Walburg in it as Danny Regan.

I turned it off in like 5 mins due to what we had talked about before, the issues with the new shows etc.

They had a room full of male detectives looking into a murder, some young female minority detective walks into the room and somehow is automatically the smartest person in the room. Like all the men are idiots and have no clue. It was extremely predictable and in your face.

Click... I will never watch it again, not for a second.

I tried, I gave it a chance until it turned me off with that BS.

Funny that Hollyweird is upset that viewership of such movies and shows, and tickets sales of Hollyweird movies in general, continue to plummet. A lot of which is because people are fed up with this nonsense. Yet they continue to double down. It's almost as if it's intentional self-sabotage.

The best (fairly recent) horror movie I have seen that I can name off the top of my head is Hereditary (2018). Not many current horror movies that I've seen up until several years ago contain real slow-burn atmosphere like Hereditary. It felt kind of old-school in that regard. Would I watch it again? Probably not. But it was very well-made, IMO.

Best ad - I don’t even know what was being advertised, but the theme of the ad seemed to be about passed up opportunities.
A guy in a 60s Mustang pulls up to a garage in an alley and yells “Hey, Woz, Jobs”, two guys come out of the garage and say hi what’s up? The guy says “we just finished that job early and we all got a $250 bonus”. “What are you guys up to? They say “we’re working on making a computer for the home so everyone can have one. We could really use some more money, if you’re willing to invest that $250 with us, we’d cut you in on any of the profits”. The Mustang guy says “let me think about it, I’ll tell you tomorrow “
The scene cuts to the next day when the Mustang pulls up again to the garage this time with a young lady in the passenger seat, honks, and Woz and Jobs come out, say hello, then ask “so, what do you think about going in with us? The guy holds an audio cassette out the window and says “New eight track”!
