Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Tuff ! I whittled a few sticks with my two girls (5 and 7) this afternoon, each of them with a Mora. :)

The Tuff is an excellent knife, but it is no slicer... When I got it about 2 years ago I reprofiled it on the EP to around 15dps. I did not want to change the character of the knife by thinning it out too much. The truth is, even after the reprofile it was still much too thick for everyday tasks. The thought had actually crossed my mind at one point to sell it, because I seldom carried or used it. Last weekend I decided to throw caution to the wind and thinned it out more with a convex. I should have done it a long time ago, because it is now a real pleasure to use. It will never be a slicer like the Stretch, but it can now hold its own as a heavy duty EDC without feeling like a pry bar. It is safe to say it's off the sell-list!

Which one is better? Have a side profile shot, too...

I always have a tough time choosing photos when I take many...

Tough call SpeedHoles....
Both show the translucent nature of the scales. Both have cool sun rays in the pic. The angle of the first pic has that blade lengthening effect that looks really cool. The second pic has a nicely positioned sun reflection on the spine near the Spyderco logo. Because of the perspective and shading I think I prefer the first one. :)

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
First one definitely. Both are awesome, but the first has that diagonal (classic dynamic composition strategy), and better contrast btwn the shadows and highlights.

All black Millie with Ti screws, Ti pivot, Ti deepcarry clip, Ti standoffs, a wickededge and since yesterday 3K carbonfiber scales with sunburst milled pattern made by Suingab. That guy is GOOD, thanks again Andrej!
