Correct, tree had veed many years ago and snapped on one side about 12 feet up . Park has many old nut trees and was mostly used years ago for cattle to browse until bought by town.

Cool…burrs are usually caused by trauma or bacteria/fungus(usually treatable if caught in time)…burrs also make the most beautiful bowls on earth.Look up box elder burl bowls. Love oaks especially white oaks when dropping acorns and the wind is right and I’m 30’ up in a tree stand w/my bow

This is a Native III in VG-10 ! I'm super stoked to have found this model like new recently. For a faire price I might add. The handle design on this one is really really good ! Thick handle but very comfortable
