So Jazz, any chance you could tug on Sal's ear enough to get him to produce the Wharnie Delica in LC200 or H1?

Here's a shot of the insides of the scales. There's plenty of room to get rid of the point. The steel liner is straight there. Get a wharnie and do it. I know you can. I've seen your cool Manix, bro, and Rock Lobster.

I finally ordered one. probably going to do a scale swap to make it purple... any mods I have to do for a scale swap or is it the same as any other d4

If KW comes through on their pre-order I should have my first Jazzlica soon. I feel like I'm late to the party, but I wanted to wait for the Hap 40.

You're going to like it. :) You need to swap lock bars too. They're a tad different. That's it.

Still waiting to try it out (should have bought the s30v version when it dropped last year, oh well). I think it will be the perfect edition to my 3 knife carry. Native or para3 on the right, wharndelica on the left, hawkbill Dfly in the shirt pocket. I think I'd be ready for anything at that point. Although it's versatile enough to be a single carry too. Food knife, utility knife, SD. Heck it would work well as a dual carry knife with any DFly.... did I mention I can't wait to get my hands on one of these :D

It will be worth the wait. I really wish I liked the Hawkfly more, but I have lots of Dflies and one is modded to a wharnie.

Well that sounds like a saber grind Delica to me. The blade may not be a true sheepsfoot but the belly is so small it may as well be and the hollow grind has a very stout tip. I just sharpened one last night for a friend and I started getting nostalgic about owning one again. I think the blade shape on those knives is nearly perfect.

I am 100% on board for a wharnie or sheepsfoot Dragonfly. I would prefer that the grind stay as high as the standard version, I was a bit let down by how thick the hawkbill is.

I don't mind most sheepsfoot blades because I can easily grind the tip down to a wharnie. If they do it like the wharnie Delica with the slopes spine I'm less of a fan of that shape but I'd still he on board.

I'd be more inclined for the Yojimbo wharncliffe shape.

Agree, +1 on the Rescue models in ATS-55.
If one does not lIke SE,,, coarse dIamond or belt grinder will remove them for a PE.

Actually any of the VG-10 models will also be excellent.

Some Endura blades gave been shortened to sheepsfoot type shapes.
