Ha ha ha! I hate to tell you but it is self inflicted. MG2
It certainly is!! I came here to ask a question about a Manix and Sage 5...here I am years later, no longer with either of those knives and a heck of a lot more haha! Whatever you do, stay away from the "Others" thread or your problem will be twice as big and 3 times more expensive!

Agree ! That’s when the sleepless nights begin ! I’m not going to mention any names who might be an influencer . MG2

One thing I can already tell : the scales are almost undistinguishable from the ones on the S110V. I see the difference but I wonder if it's my brain playing a trick on me since I know they are two different knives
It's a good example with a nice factory edge, both grind and edge seem even (I'll know pretty fast if they aren't !). I think I'll put an edge on it and try it really fast.
I just have to remove the weird wire on the sides of the FRN. You know, like residue from the mould on old toys ^^
Personally, I wish they used the same color as the Manix 2 LW SPY27 on the Native. I know it is not popular, but I have really grown to like it. It distinguishes it from everything else.

Yeah a real departure from the S110V color could've been nice. Though, the blue they are using is really cool, I love it. I guess it's a first world problem when two of your natives look alike .
Since i've been lacking in the S30V LW department I might dye it black or something, it's aleady a really dark color so dark green seems impossible.
I'll definitely buy a 400 to 600 € knife this year. I've decided to slow down the rate of buying to buy a couple "better" ones. All of that depends on how fast the mules and the SS Stretch XL / Lil'Native LW get out.
In the collection : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

I'm still waiting for my Spyderco Chaparral CF to show up in the mail and I receive an email notice that the PM2 Crucarta is back in stock. ****, another $280.00 bit I'm not passing this time around.
This forum is going to lead me to divorce.
Do they make rods for the Sharpmaker that would work for these hard steels?
They do, Diamond and CBN. But, if you're going to end up reprofiling...Sharpmaker, even with those rods takes A LONG time. Much faster with proper diamond bench stones or a guided system.

those will make quick work of any steel. the 260 grit is what I finish most my folders with. I find the edge lasts 3-5x longer than the more polished edge I get from a stock sharpmaker, though polished edges are a superior choice for certain roles.....
I remembered I had some rewards sitting in my knivesshipfree account…. And after reading all the ladybug praises I decided it was a good reason to cash in.
I went the manbug route after seeing the wharncliffe with TiCN blade.
A pink G10 hollow-ground Manix2 from an exclusive run of 500 is headed my way. My Manix horde has needed something unusual. And 154CM steel is a new one for me.
