Bought a para 3 from the Spyderco online store last month. Received, opened, found it had a warped blade curved to the right, returned for eval,$10 return shipping. Spyderco called and asked if I wanted a replacement or to return. I asked for a replacement. Saturday I received my replacement. Went on removing pocket clip screws to swap it and found one was spinning freely. Lifted up on the clip and the screw came out, the threads were stripped from the bottom off it. Tried to thread in a fresh screw and it just spiraled.Took another pic and emailed it to Spyderco explaining the liner was not tapped incorrectly and that I had tried a fresh screw. The response i received was, "Spyderco factory outlet provides clip screws free of charge". I repeated my initial complaint and was told, "return for warranty evaluation", $10 more out of pocket.

This is my 23rd Spyderco and the 1st time I've had quality control issue's, which is not too terrible. However, disappointing to say the least, to have to return the same purchase twice on my dime before getting to make even one cut with it.
That's very bad luck... I bought a Para 3 Maxamet and it was the opposite, only golden "Para" series knife on wich I had 0 issue. My regular Para 3 and pm2 had some (minors, was able to solve almost all of them myself) problems.
I hope this gets resolved, and you get some of your money back i a way or another.

Unrelated post-scriptum : Just found a SS ladybug... The cutlery is closed for the holidays but I'll get my hands on it as soon as it reopens. It'll be my "first" VG-10 knife

Thanks, hopefully it gets straightened out, at this point since I bought it, Spyderco has been in possession of it for more than 3 weeks and I was in possession of it 3 days. Spyderco is still getting my money, I bought 2 more since this one.

GB2. Ordered it after 3 days of searching for my lost GB1. Figured I’d get it before the price went up. Needless to say, the GB1 surfaced a few hours after placing the order.

I just bought a Chokwe on the secondary market. It was by chance that I came across it at a good price, while randomly going down a rabbit hole, and impulsiveness won out. Pretty excited to check it out though.

After reprofiling my Maxamet Para 3 a few days ago, I had to do the Paramilitary 2 as well. Did not go as thin on this edge, but definitely thinner than factory. Some use will show if the edge angle needs to be revisited.

You can always send me the GB1, will be happy to reduce your ear ringing..

My daughter's favorite color is purple. Right now there is a purple Ladybug out for delivery that I'm giving her for her birthday. It'll go nicely with the purple Delica I gave her a few years ago that she uses the **** out of. :)

Looking forward to use the rods. I'll certainly end up trying the base with it (and ask my brother to print a 17 dps custom base, because that's the angle I use everywhere if 15 isn't factory set).
