Looks good GT! I did a similar thing with my GP Rex 45. Racing Red if I recall. Maybe it's good I haven't gotten mine yet since I haven't decided on a color for it.

I'm exactly where you are Gtscotty. But I'm so indecisive everyone will be out before I actually make my mind up.

Well I was at St. Nick's knives today and they'd just gotten PE N5 MagnaCut Salts in and had a 10% sale so.... I'll need to be cancelling my Knife center order.
I do like the slightly darker yellow as compared to my older H1 Salt. Now to figure out what color I want to dye it, I'm thinking racing read at the back fading to yellow in the front.... Maybe the same type fade with blue or navy would be good though....

You mean kinda like this? The actual colors are a little more bright than the pic would have you believe.

I'm stoked that i just got my Magnacut N5 to go with my PE and SE LC200n models.
The N5 is a model that i have really connected with and carry a Native Salt quite a lot as well as REX45, Cruwear, Spy27, and now Magnacut!
Not the best lighting for the pic, but here it is anyhow.

Looks great Gtscotty. I didn't see your post when I posted up my pics. I should refresh the screen more often. Nicely done.

I got a couple and swapped the blade from one into a S90v CF N5 body. Works perfectly. Going to do a dye job in the new s90v LW.

Lucked out and found this one at a local shop that carries Spyderco. They just got it in a few days ago so I grabbed it up. Anyway, I can't take the dayglow yellow (sorry Eric and Sal) so I picked up some blue Rit and now I have an OD green N5 Salt Magnacut. Oh yeah!

Hello Pacu0420. Looks good. Which color blue Rit did you use?

I used the sapphire blue. It's the only shade of blue they had .

I swapped out the chrome screws and clip from my N5 Spy27 with the black screws and clip from the Salt MagnaCut. Don't know if I'll keep em this way. But they do look pretty good switched around

So anyone else have a spydiehole on their new Native that's just really not sharp/crisp? My thumb keeps slipping off the knife when opening it, I'm use to the Seki Salts where the hole is sharp enough to cut and sometimes needs even a little file work.

Not just you, but I usually sharpen my holes anyway, I like them nice and crisp. Mine almost looks like it's been beveled, may just have needed some finishing work after the blade grind was done.

Care to share how you sharpen the holes? Sandpaper? Stone? Etc.
I recall from my shop days there were such things as "cylinder hones"...

Just a Dremel with a small sandpaper barrel. Obviously you need to be super careful or you can scratch the heck out of your blade but I put the Dremel on the lowest speed and just move the bit in circles around the inside of the hole and check the feeling periodically. This also helps to add a finished sanded look to the inside of the hole on some models that are really rough looking.

I got an email today from Knifecenter that my order is ready to ship. Since it had been so long they asked that I confirm that I still want it. I called back and my plain edge Native 5 is now shipping. The order was from early last year.

Now that is pretty ridiculous considering I ordered mine on the Black Friday sale and got my months ago.

My order for a PE was placed on 03/16/2022 --- still not yet shipped to me.
