Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
KJ just announced on their IG page that the final run of their SB exclusive will drop next Friday, May 16 at 10 AM CDT. According to them “once they’re gone, they’re gone forever.”

Thanks much for the information. That's a bad timing for me
I might try to get the funds for it, sold the first run of the KJ Bowie to keep only the OG but the M390 and overall action were very nice, better than the OG. I miss bluey !

Looks great, I skipped the previous releases due to price.
What makes the price difference worthwhile?
Compared to the chef the swayback or even the slym ?
My intentions are not to be negative, I’m curious as to what makes it a better option.

Nothing unless you get value from the social status of owning it. It is way overpriced due to trend-driven demand.

I feel that the KJ exclusive Spydiechef is a better value, especially at its current price of $239, which is much cheaper than a standard Spydiechef.
Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
KnifeJoy has done a lot of exclusives with Spyderco, not all of which have been popular sell-outs. Since they front the money in advance they get to set the price, not Spyderco. I imagine the upfront cost on each exclusive Bowie drop is significant. That money is tied up and can't be used for other inventory. I imagine that has some impact on the street price.
I grabbed a Bowie on the last drop and don't regret it. It is a wonderful design and perfect execution. I never owned an original production model, but this seems an improvement in several ways.
It is pricey, but I don't fault KJ for getting what the market will bear, especially since they have done so much to offer Spyderco exclusives over the years.
