I confirm. Back in stock. Wharnie is oos, but standard pm2 is still in stock. Maybe they drop it in batches to give people a chance? Anyways, I believe I scored. Although I don't believe it till I get the tracking number.

I bought 1 each, in the past I purchased the S30-V Wharncliffe and the CTS-XHP both are my favorite PM2 ever.
Looking foreward to adding the coating versions to the lineup as well.

Scooped! My first Spyderco was the XHP CS sprint so had to get this to match.
Re: Jeff Loffer from Cutlery Shoppe the new PM2 in REX 121
I had to get a Wharncliff. Not really in the budget, but I’d really be kicking myself latter. I had to support Jeff for doing a Wharncliff. I have all of the other Spyderco Wharnie exclusives he has offered. Hopefully I’ll get as lucky when the coated land. Maybe Jeff will do a Military 2 Wharncliff in the future.
Re: Jeff Loffer from Cutlery Shoppe the new PM2 in REX 121
If he does a Military 2 Wharncliffe, I will commit to buying 2, 1 coated and 1 in satin.

Been on a wharnie kick lately, but still went with the DP. PM2 blade shape is perfect just the way it is.

Same in both respects, here. I have been really loving the Yojimbo the last month or so, but when the time came to decide this morning I stuck with the do-it-all PM2 blade shape I already know I love using. Pretty stoked about REX 121 in a PM2!

I feel the same. The exotic nature of the wharncliffe blade shape matches the nature of the steel, but something still tells me the drop point is going to be the more useful knife.barnaclesonaboat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 05, 2026 12:27 pmSame in both respects, here. At this point however, how much do we truly care about useful, when considering the collectible aspect of this drop. Sweet knives, nonetheless.

I got mine... standard PM2. As soon as the payment goes through, it will be shipped. I'm actually surprised it went well. I hate doing anything like this on my phone.

CS did it right allocated enough resources to their site for the drop. I have been on other sites in the past where it stumbled like crazy during drops.

A couple of videos- not affiliated. No idea whether or not the methods and results are valid. At least you can get a better idea what the PM2 (scales) look like.
Re: Jeff Loffer from Cutlery Shoppe the new PM2 in REX 121
My order for one regular style Rex-121 PM2 was final 2 minutes after start time - I'm getting slow in my old age.
This is really cool, I would have guessed little to no Rex-121 was left. Thank you Jeff, Sal and others who made this possible!

Re: Jeff Loffer from Cutlery Shoppe the new PM2 in REX 121
Is REX121 no longer producable like 15V? or just not being produced?
Re: Jeff Loffer from Cutlery Shoppe the new PM2 in REX 121
15V needed the higher temperatures because the vanadium content was over 10%. Rex 121 only has 9.5% vanadium and 10% tungsten so it can still form more carbide volume despite not having that much vanadium. The formulation for Rex 121 is also in other proprietary steels too, so I don't think there's the same level of unlikeliness that if will be used again. At least not for the same reasons as 15V
Re: Jeff Loffer from Cutlery Shoppe the new PM2 in REX 121
It appears Rex-121 will not be made again anytime soon (see the last paragraph below):

Niagara Specialty Metals Announces Steels List
BLADE Staff - November 28, 2025
Get a gander at what’s on the slate for NSM in 2026.
According to a recent post by Niagara Specialty Metals (NSM) on BladeForums, NSM (nsm-ny.com) had several steels and materials available either now or that were “incoming” as BLADE was going to press.
The list includes: MagnaCut; CPM154; S30V; S35VN; S45VN; S90V; 3V; 4V; CruWear (aka NSM Wear); 154CM; 20CV; M4; CPM D2; D2; 440C ESR; 416; and 6-4 titanium. The new MagnaMax (page 66) should be available in 2026.
The post stated that all particle metallurgy grades are “coming in from Erasteel and Carpenter and the quality has been excellent.” All of NSM’s air-melt steels and 6-4 titanium are domestic.
The only grades off the list at press time were 15V, 110V and Rex 121. “They were Crucible exclusives,” the post noted of the three grades not on the list, “and we’re working with the mills to bring them back once production can be re-established.”
