My favorite thread of the year- Thanks for the fun Spyderco.

This year has been memorable for a lot of the wrong reasons. It is important to look forward with hope. To me, the best knife Spyderco ever produced was the original paramilitary. When I was thinking about the contest I realized I have a new, unwanted daily accessory to go with my knife. My example here is concealed partially by its face mask. Would be great to look back next year with these times as a memory.

Spyderco Salt 2 Black Blade SpyderEdge (C88BBK2).

I love to swim and my Spyderco Salt is always with me. I've used Salt 1 with plain edge for years and now get Salt 2. The longer handle is more comfortable but small enough when carry IWB and the serrated edge is very useful in the sea.

I was on vacation last week. The sea was stormy in this windy day and I was walking on the beach. A group of rocks, covered with seaweed and mussels, were flooding by the waves...
In the end of the photo session my cargo shorts were soaking wet, wiped the lens several times and the sea almost stole my Salt but in the name of art :)

I love this contest. I think half the fun is trying to think of an idea. I've also been enjoying seeing all the entries this year. There's a lot of talented people on this forum. Good luck to everyone!

I chose the UKPK. It's light. It's simple. Fits the hand well. I like it!

I took the picture of the UKPK on top of a watercolor painting I painted myself. The image was then enhanced with Photoshop. (Also, to be clear, the bug logo was added digitally, I didn't paint that particular part... WAY beyond my ability!! :) )

Well, I'm feeling brave enough to throw my hat in the ring this year...

My submission shows the St. Nick's Knives exclusive Manix 2 with red g10 and 4v steel: one of my favorite Spyderco models in one of my favorite exclusive series. This photo was taken only a few days after I received the knife in April of this year. My family and I were quarantined at our cabin in the Missouri woods, where we had planted the Japanese Maple tree in the photo as a memorial to my late grandmother when she passed a few years ago. In spite of the chaos and uncertainty in the world around us at the time, Mother Nature was unperturbed, and the trees were exploding with flowers and buds all around us. The red scales on the Manix blended in beautifully with the reds and purples of the new spring leaves on the maple, and the color made me happy during a pretty stressful time.

Spyderco Native 5 Salt C41PYL5
I love to go to the beach out of season, when you have all the place for your self. I enjoy taking a walk and looking for interesting objects that the tides bring to land. This photo is from one of those days, when I could spend a wonderful time with my family, with all the beach for us. And as a Spyderco Native enthusiast, nothing better for this occasion than the Native Salt in my pocket.

Thank you Spyderco, one more time, for organizing this contest, and good luck to all who enter!

Wow! A bunch of winners already stacked up in here! My motivation to submit a feeble attempt weakens with every incredible shot. ;) Nice work.

Don't post a lot on these forums, but I read a lot. Glad for the opportunity to participate in this event, thank you Spyderco!

Featured is the C81GCMOBK2 Camo/DLC Paramilitary 2. Like many here on the forum I have relied on Spyderco knives for years, and they have never let me down. The knife was chosen because it is a great "every man/woman's" knife -- exceptional performance readily available to all. The picture focuses on the knife's raison d'etre, the edge, and is complemented by the dark reds, black, and tans of some volcanic rock here in the southwestern U.S. desert.

The knife I chose to photograph was my custom manix 2. I got this knife a couple years ago and have carried almost exclusively since. The knife has copper a coated pocket clip and hardware while the blade has been acid dipped and then coated in brass, as the brass wears away it gives a beautiful rugged look revealing the acid dipped steel underneath.

I often use Spydiechef in the kitchen. It was the same today. I sliced a watermelon with it and took a photo for the contest. Thanks for the fun and good luck to everyone!

The Spyderco Swayback is my submission for this years calendar. I really love how it’s a mix of traditional and modern knife design and so I thought this old barn seemed like a good pairing. Thanks Spyderco!

Since its introduction in 2004, the Stretch has been one of my favorite knives and one I often carry when hiking. This photo shows a prototype for the FRN VG-10 version introduced in 2009. It was photographed during a hike at John Boyd Thacher State Park in upstate New York.

Spyderco Endura wave for my entry. I looked at my watch and looked at my Endura and said "looks like time to take a picture". I love the grey handle scales of the Endura.

that's a beautiful picture, but i think you'll be disqualified with the watch in it. you can't have any other copyrighted materials in the image. also, it needs to be in portrait orientation. there's still time though. :)

I'd like to submit the Shaman sprint run (boy was it ever!) - C229MPCW

As anyone that frequently visits this forum knows, I primarily use my knives at work in a paper mill. I feel like I need a knife that can withstand a lot of cutting and remain comfortable in my hand. What better model than the Shaman! Something beefy and strong, made to work! Just like the crane cables it's pictured with here.

Thank you Spyderco for the opportunity and this great forum to help me choose to submit this image!
