Re: More K390?

I think by law it has to be a Para 3.
Much as I'd like to try K390 in a blade larger than the Urban, I like the policy and enjoy carrying knives made in America from American steel. (And yes, I also enjoy knives built around the world and own many examples.)
There have been exceptions in the past, and will be an exception for the upcoming Manix 2 M390. It's not concrete, but I kinda wish it was. I like the idea of buying Japanese made knives for Japanese steels and American knives for American steels. Now there needs to be more European knives, to satisfy the European steel demand.
An exception for exclusives, I guess.Albatross wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 5:53 pmThere have been exceptions in the past, and will be an exception for the upcoming Manix 2 M390. Yes, but since the Para 3 was voted Knife of the World, by the, ah, world, It is excluded and it's the go to platform that every super steel hopes to be a part of. If a steel can get on the Para 3 platform it's like you've made the Big League, you're in the Hall of Fame. Surveys prove that 7 out 10 knives wish they were a Para 3.
Yes but as good as the para3 is, the sage1 is more suited for k390, was voted knife of the universe, and one of remaining 3 of 10 that don't wish it were a para3.Crux wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 7:03 pmYes, but since the Para 3 was voted Knife of the World, by the, ah, world, It is excluded and it's the go to platform that every super steel hopes to be a part of. This absolutely sounds like junk science, but as I have an open mind I will research this conspiracy theory. Also, I'm not sure I'm willing to accept the Universe's vote as they have done little if anything to produce a worthy knife. Oh, the light saber you might say, ok sure but until I can buy one online I think the Earth has spoken. Obviously the Solar System agrees it's the Para 3. And I don't want to sound like a bigot, but screw those outside the Solar System. I mean it not like they pay taxes or anything.jpm2 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 8:19 pmYes but as good as the para3 is, the sage1 is more suited for k390, was voted knife of the universe, and one of remaining 3 of 10 that don't wish it were a para3.Crux wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 7:03 pmYes, but since the Para 3 was voted Knife of the World, by the, ah, world, It is excluded and it's the go to platform that every super steel hopes to be a part of. If we weren't competing for intergalactic knife-making supremacy, why then would Spyderco's Golden knives proudly proclaim, "Golden, Colorado U.S.A. Earth"?DirtMcGirt wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2019 6:02 amCrux wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 9:02 pm

Is it possible that visitors from outer space have come to Earth in order to buy Para3’s? Could it be that Spyderco is communicating with these so called “Knife gods” to make advances in knife steel and heat treats?
Ancient astronaut theorists say.....yes.
