$83.97 from knife works (guess that makes me one of the lucky three originals from KW according to a previous post). $90.92 (after shipping & handling). Estimated delivery for Monday. A Monday mail call always gives something more to look forward too. Can't wait!

I got a shipping confirm yesterday from BladeHQ, but USPS stills shows it in pre-shipment, no delivery estimate.

So the old color handles work with the new ffg blades? You had to swap the springs as well right?

Yes and yes. :)

I did reply to your question in the "UKPK Thoughts" thread last week, but I didn't quote your post, so maybe you didn't see it.

As far as I can tell, the scales are identical. I didn't even try to mix the ffg blade with the older spring b/c I wanted to keep the stiffer action with the ffg blade anyway.

I'm surprised more people haven't done this, I'm loving my "custom" ffg/burgundy combo.

Does anyone have a pic of a ukpk next to a caly 3? Are they really that similar? I absolutely love the caly 3 and if it's as similar as you all make it sound this just moved to a must have for me.

Edit: I did a search, I am going to pull the trigger on one of these when I find one. I need to try S110V anyways..

I don't have a Caly 3 (yet) but I think somebody had said the finger choil is a little deeper on the UKPK. Judging from pics of the Caly 3 it looks like that might be true. Otherwise they seem really close.

With all the hype over the UKPK S110V I've been messing with my G10/S30V version a lot lately. I don't think you can go wrong by adding a UKPK of any type to the collection. They're so light and the ergos are fantastic. I think the blue S110V LW is a must have.

It's being pre-listed at over twice that price in Europe, around $180.00. Maybe once actual stock arrives it will improve. I'd be holding out for drop point in any case.

Thanks Mr. Shawn!

You're welcome LC!

Murph,

I know you already found the info you wanted, but a comparison pic was a good excuse to dust off my safe queen Caly 3 (it's nominally a back up for my user 3.5) and admire it's minty-ness for a minute :D

Ok so this is frustrating. I've just bought an old ukpk but I can't get the pivot screw out. The non screw side spins along with the screw I'm trying to turn.

Anyone have a suggestion? Nate, did you have this problem? I've never had this issue on a ukpk before.

I didn't have any issues. The screws on the old ones came right out for me with no special effort. I did do the work on a Tek-mat to help keep everything in place, but the barrels are "D" shaped so it shouldn't be spinning free unless the frn stripped out.

Let me know if your's is toast. I'd be happy to send you a gray one that I threw a combo leaf blade into. I was planning to give it away anyway. (We can take it to PM for details.)

Nate, it looks like the handle on Caly 3 is a little taller than the UKPK. Would you say that's a fair observation?

No actually, the handle profiles are virtually identical.

It's my bad for being too lazy to take the clip off one of them so that they would both be laying flat in the same direction. The Caly 3 handle only looks larger because it's propped up. (I moved the UKPK clip for left hand carry and the Caly's is still in factory position.)

The changes I see between them are: different choil, different jimping, slightly different blade profiles, and of course the UKPK is slimmer, lighter, and non-locking.

-Thanks for the pic Spydergirl!! That blue looks amazing, the old blue was nice, but this is the shade I've always wanted. :) Mine should land on Monday with any luck.

-Welcome Murph!

Is this gap normal for ukpk's? My only previous ukpk was a Titanium one.
