We're pretty close Connor. I got .095" Blade Stock and .0225" BTE directly beneath the Spydie logo

Yeah I measured the BTE at the heel, middle, and tip, and they averaged 0.0253".

Looked but didn’t see, anyone measured a Smock yet? I don’t have a good enough set of calipers but mine seems crazy thin with that hollow grind.

Updated. I need to get around to organizing those by model.

Thanks for keeping this list up to date, D.

I just noticed I have a HAP40 Manbug which still has a (very nicely ground) factory edge:

Manbug HAP40
Spine (in front of plunge line) 2.08mm/0.082”
0.40mm/0.015” BTE

I bought a caliper set recently but I'm really not impressed with the quality or I'd measure mine. I plan on getting a different one and I have a new Caribbean in the mail so I'll work on this, at least for the SE version, not sure if anyone is interested on SE numbers.
D you can get a set of Husky brand digital calipers at Home Depot for like $30. I bought a set when I started 3D printing because everything's metric. I've tested them on a Mitutoyo gauge block and they measure right on the money. I actually use those more now than the set by Brown & Sharpe I've had for years.

Received my leaf blade Caribbean in PE.

Pleasantly surprised to see it came in at:

Spine thickness: 3.42 mm/0.134”
0.44mm/0.017” BTE

(As always, spine thickness is just in front of the plungeline, and BTE is averaged from 3 readings: just in front of the ricasso, middle, and about 5 mm from the tip.)

Whoa! I'm surprised by a factory edge being fat and obtuse at the same time!

My only 0.030" BTE when new Spydie was the XHP Manix LW, but it's around 15 dps. The Cruwear Military was close, though, at 0.027" and at around the same angle.

Thanks for the info.

This one caught my attention because I recently made a custom Vanax Waterway for Lance, and to do that I had to carefully study the dimensional measurements of the Spyderco version.

The spine thickness listed here is basically the same as what I have measured. I get .119" just behind the plunge line with my calipers and .120" using a micrometer on a precision granite slab.

BTE measurements can be a little more difficult. I expect to see variances around +/- .002" from one person to the next for a variety of reasons. The only reason I bring this one up is because the BTE measurement listed above is nearly double what I am finding.

My Waterway measures .119" at the spine and .012" BTE .
