So do we think there will only be one variant released initially (satin blade)? Or will there also be one with the DLC coated blade released simultaneously?

I haven't been around long enough to experience many new releases but my guess is the initial release will be satin blade & black G10 as shown. Hopefully other versions will soon follow.

I'm thinking I'll get the first type available and then hope for a sprint run with different steel & different color scales sometime down the road.

I wasn't implying the holes to be non existent, but rather lower on the handle than ideal for deep carry. That said I cannot see ANY clip mounting holes on that end of the handle no matter how hard I stare in the picture provided. :o

This new trinity of Military, Paramilitary, and now PM3 reminds me off the Resilience, Tenacious, and Persistence, in a couple ways. The latter 3 mentioned all have the same approximate blade thickness, blade width, and handle thickness. I can tell that the Military and PM2 have the same thickness at the spine, and from the reports I've read from people that handled the prototype, the PM3 is the same as well. The handle thickness and blade width also might be the same, as observed when comparing the Millie and PM2. So the thought seems to be "Let's decrease the length, but keep it stout." Unlike the Endura and Delica, where there is a significant difference in dimensions.

Even the Ambitious has the same blade thickness as the rest of it's Chinese budget bunch. Perhaps one day we'll see a 2.5 inch Paramilitary... the Scout :p

Lol was just about to post the pic. Looks like it got the floating stop pin like the Military now has. Very interesting.

Finally. Now we can all start obsessing over the Para 4 keychain knife.

Photoslopped to the same approximate blade length because of all the PM3 vs Sage5 speculation...

Interesting that they decided to call it the Para 3.

And that pic pretty much sums up why I have no interest in this knife. The butt end of the handle, the Para 3 has that point right where your pinky will be. I'm actually kind of shocked they left that in there since this was probably the #1 complaint of the original Paramilitary, which the Para 3 is a bit of a step back towards in size. The Sage 5 (or any Sage for that matter) has a far better handle design for larger hands.

Valid point re handle shape although I suspect it will fit my medium hand.

I'll grab one as a novelty, the PM2 is perfect for me and wouldn't change a thing, of course I could change my mind once in hand but I doubt it.

Yes same here, the PM2 fits me with not much room to spare, so this one is a no-go.
