I've heard good and bad about MT, have no personal experience with them.

As for price, most enthusiasts that buy the green Para 2 will pay twice the preorder price or more anyway. We've discussed this in the past, I think half of the knives on preorder were bought just to flip them for a profit. I see the orange ones for sale at twice the original price, and some of the military models going for about twice the original price. The blue Para 2's go for high prices but their original prices were pretty high so they can't quite double those prices.

I want a green one too but I'm not in on the preorder so I will be one of the people that has to pay double to get one, unless I decided to buy the MT instead.

Email Knifeworks right now and ask to be put on the list. Many people change their minds on pre-orders.

I would bet you can still get one, but it will be a couple weeks to a month after they start shipping.

That reminds me of a Neil Young song! (hope you don't mind a little entertainment while we wait!)

Not surprising with the delays with 204P, and the increased demand for cookies during the holidays. The Keebler tree has limited capacity, so production scheduling gets very tricky.

Smurfs on the other hand, have a large workforce, and much more factory space in their village.

Was there a hang up in getting the blade stock for the green paras? Or heat treating woes? I have yet to hear the the reason for the delay.

They reopened the pre-order, and here's a quote from their site "(Estimated to arrive around December 2012 but it will be delayed if Spyderco runs into any issues.)"

My guess, or rather hope is that the green will ship before the second batch of blue ones.

Just ask them to hold it once they're available.
