+1

Really . . . Seriously . . .

Haha! I saw your offer but it didn't list a price. All I thought was, "someone isn't really..."

Sadly even my counter offer of $20.00 was rejected. :( . Oh well. I guess I can put my $525.00 into a few other knives like a new Lionspy and a Techno.

Angus.... you are right sir, I stand corrected. I have run short this month so if you don't mind, place an offer of $500 for me. I will pay you back once I get that west virginia beach front property sold. :D

I know nothing about this guy, but it's kind of fun to imagine what goes through his head. First to get him to this point in his professional art/knife carreer, then how he might feel about this thread.

For $500 it better have gold bushings lubricated by tiger blood on a spirit hike into the underworld.

feed_the_animals wrote:Say what you will about Nutnfancy but this is not ridiculous from a pragmatic perspective. His channel has over 150k subs and he claims the knives sold out in under an hour, which I find believable. His following is vilified but devoted. Watch ebay. They will pop up eventually and the demand will surprise you.

And I will say, despite the "dude" overuse, his reviews at least have a coherent and consistent structure that does allow a viewer to compare products. Especially compared to the typical Youtube fare: "Oh, hey, what's up Youtube. This knife totally rocks. I'm not sure why."
THANK YOU! Jesus Christ you guys sound like some of the freshmen girls at my school the way you are dogging on the guy. He does well thought out, thorough reviews on all of his gear. His channel isn't a, "Hey its a new Fred video, Lets watch it because hes funny," Channel. His channel is a "Hey, Ive been thinking about buying that knife for months, I wonder what its like" Channel. Point is, If you aren't entertained by his vids, or are not interested in the product being reviewed, then by all means, watch something that you are interested in and stop whining, nobody forces you to watch 40 minute reviews on youtube all day. My thoughts  :D

In all due respect...

A $25 Chinese Spyderco right now is being listed for over $500. Furthermore: It's painted like shrubbery.

I don't think the average person here hates or even dislikes him. Just observations about some of the antics. Scroll back a page or two, I bet the praise/tomfoolery ratio is about 1-to-1.

That knife better have gold washers, platinum spacers and the blade better have been swapped with k390

I watch his vids if it's something I might buy. A painted Persistence at a Para 2 price ain't one of 'em. But if he can sell the crap out of them more power to him.

The only caveat to that logic is that being an advocate of the value-oriented enthusiast it goes against all his beliefs.

You are right again Blerv. Except for taking 10 minutes to even open a knife, the guy provides info for those who can't take the time to look at specs.

That persistence is ridiculous though, but that's just me because I always look at a knife from a performance point of view. It's a $30 knife and no matter what you do to it, it's 8cr13Mov. It's a good knife for the price. I also buy a knife to use, so performance is the thing for me.

+1 . . . That's all I'm saying. I do enjoy his "old school knife reviews" without him in front of the camera. I have come to enjoy the multi-tool reviews as well, but he focuses on value oriented blades quite a bit. I can imagine that if he were to weigh in on this listing he would point out the same irony.
