All right.
It sound like we again one happy family. More dealers show C83 in stock and everybody is getting at least one Persian. Shouldn't worry next time. Enjoy great knife and use it.

There's a game we play in the Philippines. We assemble a bunch of kids and throw some money or candy in their midst and have fun watching them scramble and crawl to get some of it.

Is there enough for all of the kids or do some of the kids come up empty handed?

In most cases I would expect to see some difference in behavior kids and grown-ups.
I believe that most of the forum members are grown-up, at least most of the time :) :D

If Sal threw some Orange handled Dodos on the ground, I'd trample every kid in my way (maybe even my grandma-rest her soul) to get one. :D

^ Agreed.
The fact of the matter is, small runs increases value. If they made larger runs, there would be less appeal from people like me to buy one or two. Its artificially created scarcity, and it works for Spyderco, for dealers, and for us. If you REALLY want a Persian, paying more for it shouldn't be an issue unless your only motive is to turn a profit later on and take advantage of the scarcity.
I'm pretty sure there are enough for everyone anyway, and anyone they'll be on the secondary market soon enough. Its just up to you to decide HOW MUCH the Persian is worth to you.
I'd have bought one, even if the price was $250.
