Oh Oh Oh...this is exciting a sweet news to the hear...The Ayoob is an incredible knife. FWIW, In my old meat tests the SE Versions of the Ayoob was one of the only SE Spyderco knives that performed like a PE. Penetration was impressive, and the slashes deep and long...It's also the only SE Spyderco that never got caught up on clothing when slashing...IMHO, this was a really good SD knife...I'm in for some!.....Doc :D
I'll echo the VG-10/S30V....G-10 Handle crowd......

There was no mention of the MA in NutNfancy's videos :( (Although I saw lots of other goodies!) Perhaps the MA will be "surprise" sprint for 2011 :D

Just came back to the forum after a long absence and see this news from Sal straight away. I'm excited!

Finally I will be able to carry an Ayoob without worry. My original is just too precious to damage.

I took delivery of my new Ayoob a few days ago and just want to thank Sal and crew for making this sprint run happen. Like several others who responded, I missed the first release of this design and feel lucky to have had another chance. I’ve been scrutinizing my new acquisition quite carefully and can now conclude what a wonder design this is IMHO. The fit and finish of my copy is perfect. No issues out of the box except a slight grittiness, which was expected and was quickly removed by three drops of Tuf Glide. I've developed an appreciation for purpose built SD knives that have a utilitarian function. Actually I prefer to think of it as a utilitarian design that also has a SD function :) (I know that may be a stretch given the design's menacing appearance.)

Thank you again Sal!
