In this case the first few hundred had only my dad’s, after seeing this we put my tag on. I jumped at the opportunity to share space with his.
Then it got more complicated, after seeing the tags together we pushed my tag smaller and behind the hole. (together they seemed like too much) That’s how future production will be engraved. We certainly didn’t plan for this - apologies. :o
I think the side by side tags, as seen in the pictures in this thread, looks great. While I don't care for the engraved collector's club numbers, I do like having the :spyder: on one side and the designer's logo on the other. When people see the tags on the knife and ask what it is, it's a great opportunity to tell them about the cool guys that designed the knife. Keep the tags side by side on the Para2 and it makes for an interesting story about a father and son and their awesome company.
So if Spyderco is looking for feedback, I vote to keep the two tags (similarly sized) right next to each other!

Could any of the PM2 owners comment on the detent pressure that keeps the blade closed? Have been wondering about that...

Just snagged one on a BIN. It has the collector number on it. Can't wait for it to arrive. Will post pics when I get it. I agree somewhat about the clip looking kinda funny but the trade off for all the upgrades makes it a non issue for me. I think we are all just use to seeing it with the other style clip. Sweet-sweet-sweet!

I'd always assumed that the tags went on knives that were created almost singlehandedly by a designer, or with a very definite leading influence on the major elements, while the untagged ones were designed by more of a team effort. Is this not the case, are the tags more of a stamp of approval on a model the designer had an influence on, for when they're particularly pleased with the results?
And if you're interested in any feedback, I agree with the others who have said that having the two tags next to each other looks just fine and I'd probably prefer it to a version that makes yours more discrete, but I'm curious to see the newer version in case it's done in a way that makes it look more interesting than I'm imagining. But either way is just fine. I really like the idea of a father and son collaboration.

I also like the tags side by side. Spyderco tags are always tastefully done and add a bit of interest to the blade. I can't wait to get one of these now, it looks pretty much like an ideal EDC.
The only very minor thing I'd like to see different is a matte stainless finish on the clip.

Since I don't have the Para1, I can't compare directly, but I don't think it's excessively stiff or loose. If anything it's on the new-knife-everything-slightly-stiff side. But smooth, real smooth.

I was just thinking, for knives that both Sal and Eric work on, they should make a new symbol "G" for Glesser
Y/N?

Sorry BB gonna disagree with you here. Each knifemaker has their own symbol and it's easy to keep track when the maker passes or something like that. I think there's an online database of knifemaker symbols to names somewhere

It definitely meets the criteria for those that disliked the Para due to either the tang or tip down only option. I do not care for the little clip though. My Para D2 looks and feels like something I might have been issued in the Marine Corps. Like others have mentioned though I would have no problem owning one!
