Knives: about 95% are spyderco's
Multitools are all leatherman but i would like to buy a swisstool.
I have 2 benchmades, a small blue griptilian i got in a trade. I do EDC a Benchmade CBK 175 as a neck knife.
I don't know why but i really like this as a neck knife.
I also buy cold steel, but the only Cold Steel knife i have is a "safe maker I". I do have a fascination wih cold steel "special stuff".
I have most of their hawks, i really like their special forces shovel, i have 2 canes from cold steel, i have about 5 sjamboks. I carry their small Koga as a "dulo dulo"

I had many types of knives but when I got my first Spyderco Dragonfly I sold the other knives to get a Police 3 and Endura Wave :D Actually I just remembered my Pink RC-3 :eek: So yes except for one RC

I am about 95% Spydies. The quality and innovative design (as well as colors) are a huge draw for me. I like anything colorful and unique. That new para 2 and black Manix and native and sage 3 and so on and so on are all mine, My precious...

I just lined my knives up and am surprised that only half of them are Spydies!
Shows how much I think of the others =p

I think I have a good mix and have stopped buying knives cos I realised that I don't NEED any more.... <sniff>

The knife I carry the most is the spydie URBAN wooo! Need to get the orange one. and an orange millie. and a 710 (blasphemy) and maybe a delica. and a yojimbo in blue. perhaps something green too. argh this forum tests my self control

EDIT: I have majority rule by Spydies! Was just going to shower when I realised my Kiwi was in my pocket! 9/17 are Spydies lol
btw any aussies here recognise those matches?

Hi, I'm new here. I've been a long time viewer of this forum but couldn't join because of the paid e-mail account.
I have a couple of Spydies but I don't buy them exculsively. I do like Benchmade and I also like Kershaw. I do have a Blue FFG Delica on the way and I can't wait :D

I buy 95% + Spyderco only. However every now and then I buy a different manufacturers knife because I connect with it in some way.

Bottom line is in my opinion, of the hundreds of knives I own, Spyderco is the hands down best knife manufacturer. When it comes to things like; fit and finish, over all quality, innovation, functionality, creative and dedicated owners and staff... you can't find better than Spyderco.

my first knife was a spyderco pro grip of which infected me with the 'spydie bug' n since then I have only purchased one non-spyderco which wz a CRKT. Other than that I have no interest in any other companies...spydies jus have way more unique traits every model is like a new character

I have 15+ Spydies, and a Benchmade Griptilian. Which reminds me, anyone interested in a Griptilian(Jokeing of course).

I have 95% Spyderco when it comes to folders with a Lonewolf Longhorn, Opinel and SAK thrown in for good measure. Spyderco do production folders best at the right price in my opinion. However, I have a more varied selection of fixed blades from bark River, Svord and self made. Now if anyone (Spyderco included) produced a folder with a full convex grind in something like A2 steel I'd snap it up.

What ?, you mean there are other kind of knives.

Finally bought Mcusta Take Cocobolo last year (and about 15 :spyder: ). Beautiful, but hate studs.

I've bought a few knives in the past 5 - 6 years because I wanted a very good quality knife. Mainly two brands. I've only bought Spyderco in my last several purchases and don't plan on getting anything else. I now have a selection that will cover any cutting need I have plus extras. Spyderco makes having a very nice selection from nice gentleman folder, inexpensive EDC, more expensive EDC, hard use folders, H-1 for ultimate corrosion prevention, sharpening products, etc. possible without the need to go to another company. That's not to say there aren't other companies that make great knives, there are.

So, what I recommend to anyone who I hear say they want to get a nice knife I recommend not to get anything until they have looked at the Spyderco selection thoroughly. I'll even mention good CS, communication with customers, etc. One thing about Spyderco knives that is important to mention if you are recommending them to someone is not to dismiss one because it looks wierd. :)

Nope - not all of my purchases are Spyderco. I believe to keep the industry on top of its game you need to purchase the best models on offer by several companies taking pricing, quality, availablity and purpose of use into consideration. If a maker starts charging more than a knife is worth based on brand name I take a walk and switch to another producer. Spyderco still fits the bill in alot of cases for me - but it really comes down to the 'right tool for the right job based on specification'. Cpmpetion keeps them more honest eh?

Rabid loyalty based on company ethics does not help the consumer IMO. There is one manufacturer I can think of off the top of my head that still exists for this exact reason (naming no names).

I haven't bought a knife that wasn't a Spyderco since before '06. There have been some that have caught my eye but there's always something missing.

i don't buy all that many new knives these days as the collection is way too large. i have other brands in the collection. but if i purchase any new ones they will be spydies.

I don't have a lot of knives like some people here. I mostly just keep a few users and that is it. For Spyderco knives I have a Dodo and a Manix 2 in CTS-XHP. My other knives are a SAK soldier, a Boker neckknife and several Emerson folders which is another favorite brand of mine. I have the other knives, but 95% of the time the Manix 2 finds it's way into my pocket.

I buy high quality knives that I want to own regardless of name. By chance the largest percentage of those are Spyderco

I am a knife whore.

I like knives, have for years. I feel it is important to to have a broad base of knowledge of what is out there. I often see people make statements about brands, and their actual experience is very limited.

That all being said, when it comes to brand loyaty I am a "Ronin" of sorts, and I pay for that at times when it comes to acceptance of others on various forums and such. But I will say, I have not spoken an ill word about Spyderco on any forum, stuck up for their products and even recommended them on the forums of their competition.

I may buy from a lot of companies, however I still buy a lot more Spyderco's than some people who will only buy them.

All Spydies for me the past dozen years or so. I have a few blades from my earlier knife collecting days, but I love my "donut hole blades".

I got a "tactical" chinese knife as a give-away from an internet vendor recently. I immediately dropped it into the toolkit in the back of the truck as a sacrifice pry bar...

For about 2 years, exclusively Spyderco or customs. Just recently picked up the BM Triage, but it was a brief foray--and likely due to this slowish new release period from Spyderco.
