Please don't associate SpydieGuys with SpydieTalk - two completely different people/sites. I can personally guarantee no etching on my blades too!![]()
Spider bite wrote:I left Spydie Guys neg. feedback due to the fact the two blades they sent me had there name etched on the blade and it did not picture this in any of the pics they had on the listing. I would not of bought them if i knew this. After a bunch of emails with no response from them I left them negative feedback. Now they wont let me bid on there items. Just a heads up.

Would you like me to take a pic of the entire knife for you? Will that make you reply to your ebay emails next time?JspyEDC wrote:

Now we know he does not concern him self with these kind of business practices but this is exactly what I thought would happen when I emaild his business. I could get my money back or exchange the item. I am really surprised he didnt bring this up in his post. I really hate when I spend my hard earned money with a company only to feel duped in the end. ThanksBlerv wrote:
If the product description/picture did not match the product I can see how it could confuse the buyer. There is no reason to be upset by the reaction from the forum. In fact, about half-way down your response I said, "oh that makes perfect sense!"...then I kept reading.
Ex:
"I'm terribly sorry if there was a misunderstanding. My ad was incorrect and I would be more than happy to accept a return with full refund upon inspection of the products. I had no intention of this and pride myself on integrity. The Spyderco community is very important to me."
This would have saved potential business from random passerby's and current loyalists.
See you next month.

This is a LIE and WRONG. The TWO KNIVES, Blue and Green FRN were BOTH etched I bought from Spidie Guys. I will take a pic if you like.JspyEDC wrote:The knife mentioned in this thread, and the only knife that's etched with "SpydieGuys.com" is the blue frn Blade-Tech Mouse Lite. There were 1,000 made and spydieguys has the exclusive on the 1,000 made in the blue color. We got them delivered 250 pieces at a time. The third batch (and 4th and final) was etched at the factory without our knowledge until mentioned by a buyer some time after delivering over 50 or so pieces with the etching. We do not have any remaining without the etching. We do need to change the listing description, thanks for the heads up.

I agree, sometimes it is best to say little. The more some people talk, the more likely they are to say something they shouldn't have. Perhaps trying to defend your business practices and mistakes is not really having the desired effect.Blerv wrote:Ultimately the overall tone of the response was much more bitter than the original concern. People have misunderstandings all the time and it's how we communicate and amend those misunderstandings that defines us as business people.
I think your marketing/PR person needs to post for you Jess. I don't mean this in a smarmy way but think you would sell more products by distancing your emotions a bit.

Wait to go spydieguys! Deliver crap and then make yourself look like a liar or just a guy that has no clue as to what product his company is selling, then pass the buck of you're company blowing off emails. I was not fully fully turned off by spydieguys but the response and bs sealed the deal. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM! Get your crap together spydieguys. You're supposed to be running a business and solving problems not passing the buck. And this on top of you listing items you don't have yet and auctioning off knives that you should be selling on preorder at a fair price.Spider bite wrote:HMMMMMMM! Here is the whole knife pic. Take a look, So much for "The knife mentioned in this thread, and the only knife that's etched with "SpydieGuys.com" is the blue frn Blade-Tech Mouse Lite" How did I get a green as well. Shady!
Well frankly they suck :pSam Vimes wrote:Forum knife issue aside, is the etching just restricted to a couple of coloured Blade-Tech mice? If so what's the issue from a Spyderco perspective?
