Is this 2nd photo of a Northwoods knife?
The Black Trance is an Oldie here in Germany
I do not use it much but it is always in my Wallet.

The second Knife you quoted is a Blackjack Trail Guide, an old one from the Effingham Production.
You can get a new one, quiet different, out of Carbon Steel from NGK. Soon there will be a Mini Version of this Knife, Mike Stewart (Bark River) designed it for Blackjack and will also produce it.

thanx for the reply Shriek...
the Black Trance (when it gets over here) will sorely need a jigged Impala Horn treatment from Potterma!
I saw the A2 steel on your Blackjack and thought....Mike Stewart!
I've got a few Bark River knives which I like plenty..... :)
BTW has the Chad MPT from Bokerplus been released over there yet?

Jeah, Barkies. My Next BRKT will be the Bravo-1 with Bamboo Handle :)

No, the MPT is behind schedule. Böker was not totally happy with the Proto the Factory sent, there have to be technical modifications, I dont know excactly...
The MPT should be available here in July.

I've been organizing my photobucket account so here's some not Spyderco knives.

I sent my little brother this Pika several years ago when the Red Class was first introduced. I was suprised to see it when I dropped in to visit him last week. He's been using it for EDC for almost 3 years now!

CRKT M1 Lightfoot. I've been reviewing this one for months, eventually I'll get around to writing something down.
Image

Benchmade 550OD. My friend lost this one for almost a year. I had given it up as a goner and purchased a replacement when the same friend found it and returned it to me.

One of my work knives.

Bought this knife used from fellow forumite Rogcohen. He gave me a very good deal on it. It was missing the clip though (no big loss the original clip was hideous) so I had STR make me one out of Ti in blue to match the liners. I'm very happy with it.

I also took the whole thing apart after getting it back from STR to give it a good cleaning.

I apologize for the sub-par pictures. I had to tweak them a lot in PS. My camera is pretty much dead I think. No matter how much light I flood into it the pictures come out dark and they're always out of focus. It's a pretty cheap automatic focus digital camera that I've had for years.

There isn’t any symbolism. The sea is the sea. The old man is an old man. The boy is a boy and the fish is a fish. The shark are all sharks no better and no worse. All the symbolism that people say is ****.

jaislandboy: 154CM Blade, blue anodized Titanium liners, stabalized Rosewood scales with inset Carbon Fiber bolsters and a custom blue anodized Ti clip (by STR). The blade is also black coated, although it's not the normal black coating. More of a "gunmetal". It just makes the blade look darker, almost like Damascus but without the patterning.

The thing that sucks, the blade picks up fingerprints like crazy. If you've ever handled one of the black macbooks it's exactly like that.

I love the knife though. It's so **** classy and is easily in my top 5 "nicest" knives in terms of materials and quality.

thanx dedguy..... the Rosewood w/CF bolster is interesting....I like the overall appearance of your knife....the STR clip is Sweet........a little flitz gun wax will help reduce your fingerprints.....i figure any wax should help (i haven't tried automotive wax yet but i figure it'll work..... ;) )..... :)

You wouldn't happen to know if that Brend is available with stainless steel handles & a satin plain blade would you?
I've been searching but so far have only found one with a SS handle and black blade.

Edit: I was also wondering about the lock. Does it release from pushing the button or is it a liner lock? TIA.

Well I'm more of a production type of person, or at least my wallet is. :) Here is my last non-spyderco purchase.
