Sal - I just found out about your new forum on Bladeforums.com. It 'll be difficult to monitor both effectively, but you'll find me on both. I just hope those whose advice I've come to trust on the bladeforums site will come on over here as well!!!

A few years back I was working in a coffee shop with a guy who uses his Stainless Police to break down boxes. I was very impressed with the sleek design of the knife. I remembered Spyderco's unique name. Now that I'm more interested in collecting knives, I just searched for you on the web.
This is a great site. Sal, I really appreciate being able to get your feedback on different topics. I'm know you are a very busy man. In fact everyone on this site has been very helpful. Thanks for making Spyderco a more personable company.

I was surfing at the Benchmade Forum and fond a big banner ad....well you've got to admit that would be pretty funny (except to Les). Anyway I just wanted to send my wishes for success.
PS: Lokelani post about Ironstone closing on BladeForum clued me in.

New to this forum. I saw it on the Spyderco web page. Cuerrently own 3 Spydies, Standard (since '86-'87), Spydercard, and Native. Had a few others but traded/gave them away. Shouldn't have done that!! One of the best values for the bucks I've found.

I just bought my first Spyderco Knife, so I thought I'd cruze on over the the Spydie site, and I saw the link.
For years I've carried nothing but Cold Steel Knives, but I am so impressed with the quality of my new Native, that has changed.
This forum was a great idea!

I found it on the Spyderco home web page. I have carried a spyderco for about 5 years now and have in the last 3 months or so gotten into collecting them and currently have over 30 of them. You guys keep making them and we'll keep buying them.

Well its a long story so sit back.
I had a cheap Swissgear multitool, it did a good job but wanted something of good quality, I desided on a Leatherman, but a buddy that works with me in the IT field said he would go for a Gerber, I didnt have a clue who or what Gerber was.
That same day a large chainstore had a xmas sale and they happened to have the 800 Gator, I purchased this and then heard about Pertinax from him (his cousin works at
www.pertinax.co.za)
After that I bought the tool addon for the gerber and fell in love with the Mark II and Guardian Backup.
Only prob was they arrived blunt, I wasnt willing to send them to USA as this would cost me a fortune, so off I went looking for a sharpener, thats where Spyderco comes up.
Did a search and read about the 204, saw it on Pertinax's site, purchased it and fell in love with the blades I saw.
Started buying like mad, I then wanted to see the other products made by Spyderco and I took a chance at pumping the url of "
www.spyderco.com" in my browser.
Wammo, there I was with a button saying "Forum" right infront of my face, started reading like mad and the rest is history.
Love my Gerbers but love my Spydies more, the last 6-8 blades Ive purchased have all been spydies, the next 100 will prollie still be,lol
Well thats how I ended up here.
Seeya guys l8tr
