Hi Chad!
DAYWALKER wrote:...for my own safety yes, I should have left. BUT, like I mentioned, I did not want some other CO to get thrown into the situation I was left in to deal with.
The only thing that I can reply to this is that anyone of your colleagues can be glad and proud to have someone among them with that kind of attitude. I guess that's pretty rare.
DAYWALKER wrote:The history of the LT and TACO ( :D ) are not too great. They could not handle the floor when they were CO III's...which is why they're so useless now as supervisors.
Maybe that is just the reason why they went after the office jobs they now have. But you can find these people with a weak character in all areas be it the military, administration or economy. We all have to deal with them  The sad thing is that in your case your life might be at risk because of their decisions and that's not right...

Rethinking what you wrote I believe that you have the respect of the inmates. If you were treating them like animals they would have paid it back as soon as they had the opportunity to do so. I am a firm believer of "treat everyone like you want to be treated" although I am not very religious. That motto often proved itself to be true. I know that the environment of a prison sets strong limitations to that but if you gained the respect of the inmates by treating them as human beings after all and if that puts you more or less on the safe side I think you're on the right way.

There are better times to come. Be careful and watch your back!

Cheers, Rob

[quote="DAYWALKER"]Hey JimD,

Are you advertising somehow the artwork you have for sale? I bet that one ya did of the airplane w/ autographs would sell well on a different site.

Wow, we're the same age and I gotta retire in my 60's :( Jim, you have survived and assisted in countless incident's and you're still around...so i do not believe that a heart attack will stop you ]

Chad, thanks man.
Advertising...I soon should have an Ebay account set up, so we'll see how that goes. I tried advertising the autographed artwork on another forum, and sold exactly one. :(

Yes, I've been in quite a few incidents. Lost count, actually.
God bless!

I have some prints of a P-51 Mustang that are autographed by 4 or 5 of the original Tuskeegee Airmen.

I do have some wildlife (a nice drawing of a wolf's head, an eagle's head, assorted others). Wildlife is very difficult for me to draw, as are people.

My true specialty is landscapes. Old barns, lighthouses, and the like. Got loads of those!

I'll post a few here, or I can also email several to you to check out. In fact, I'll do it right now, check your mail!
Edited to add: VW, I tried to email you, but I can't copy the drawings to the email, as I don't have your email address. :(

Well, I wish I could work directly with Dick Kramer, but he's too far away. But I LOVE his artwork, it's what I aspire to be. I've been in touch with him, and he's given me some pointers and checked out some of my work.

He's truly a very nice guy.
