agreed 100%. it's a knife I know can handle any task I'd throw at a folder. lightweight, stays locked open or closed reliably, tough, great cutter, rust proof.....there's a reason I own so many of them!

I really need to break down and get a Native Chief and give it a go. People here seem to love them

The Native 5 is not my favorite 3" knife, but it's definitely tough. However the Lil Native is one of my favorite 5th pocket knives.

From your thoughts , I would suggest to try to handle one first before a buy . I favor larger knives but have always have a sweet spot for the Native for years. The Chief is a nice knife design. MG2

I've mostly been running Throwback Thursdays every day of the week lately, mostly switching back and fort between the Caly 3 and my Rookie.

This evening I went for a walk without consulting the weather forecast. Would have picked a different knife and much more water resistant clothing had I known I'd get soaked.

Still enjoyed my walk and while one of my Salts would have been more appropriate, I got the opportunity to snap some pics of my Rookie in the moody light when mixing a rainy December evening with Christmas lighting.

Thanks, guys! :clinking-mugs
Yes, the Pac Salt is an amazing cutting tool, emphasis on tool: Just a no nonsense workhorse, really light but still sturdy (the "1" just a hair "heavier" than the "2" but also a tad sturdier feeling)

Had mine with me again iwb during a nice trail run..
@aicolainen I can understand that :neutral ... but then the "2" really is great too, and still available...)

Went for a short hike with Mom today, but didn't take any knife pictures until I got back home.
