My current favorite...

(Fortress of Salzburg in the backdrop... and not what I'd call typical December-conditions here.. much too warm and no snow in the valleys... :neutral )

The patch is just about as close to the same size as the real thing as it can be.

Thinned my 15V Manix G10 to 0.015"-0.016" behind the edge, took it to 26° inclusive
THAT's what I needed to see !

The Canis is quickly becoming one of my favorite EDCs. The fit-n-finish and the action are simply amazing. The CF scales feel great. The handle shape feels like it was designed specifically for my hand. And I love the saber hollow grind Wharncliffe blade. It's just an all round great design. This is one of the underappreciated gems of the Spyderco lineup.

I agree with you on the design, fit and feel of this Canis. I had one in my hand yesterday when I bought a new Shaman, guess I am going back today and pick me up a Canis also lol. Such a really bad disease to have as bad as I do.

I know full well too, I will never edc either of these two, they are just to have them. Absolutely ridiculous how bad the bug bite is here on this end, while I not so patiently wait for the new full size Spyders are to be released lol...
