I'm wondering how many people will go through all this for the Shaman, and then realize that model isn't for them!? They can obviously easily get their money back on the secondary market, but the massive hype makes me wonder. It's a large, stout, heavy knife (which I LOVE, having 3 different models myself) But this thought has been running through my mind the past few days.
Hard to say but how do you really know if you'll like any model until you actually have one in hand? I didn't think I'd like the Shaman until I got the SNK 4V. The Cru-carta one was a no brainer after that. I'm pretty sure I'd sell all my PM2s before I'd let the Shaman go

Keep trying guys! I think there's plenty more to come but I've been wrong a few times before. I could've bought one earlier but, I already have the Cruwear one, so I decided to hold off and give someone else a chance. I hope everyone who wants one gets one
We also must keep in mind that the reason why the "Crucarta" was so popular is because people thought the
standard s30v and g10 was too "plain". They all waited on a "upgraded" Shaman, one of which that kept getting talked about was the Micarta Cruwear combination. I don't even think the carbon fiber s90v was as popular, or the subsequent dlc cruwear g10 version. However, I saw that once people did get the Crucarta in hand they realized: "holy **** this knife is amazing why have I been sleeping on it". In fact... a lot of the regular shamans are currently sold out on many retailers.

Good points by both of you! Yes, the Crucarta version was quite the home run when it came to the handle scales and steel compared to the standard version. I, like Sharp Guy, passed on the standard version and the St Nicks model was also my first and the gateway Shaman drug was on from there! This one is definitely the one that will have the best shot at making people love the model with the excellent combination of materials.

Sorry to muck up the alert thread with general conversation, totally forgot about the other thread for that :o

I'm absolutely sure many will get sold for a profit because "I just wasn't that into it". Personally the Cruwear version was my first Shaman and I like it so much I'll definitely get more in the future but I'm sitting this one out because it only seems fair since I got the Cruwear version, it's one more for someone else.

Just snagged one from Indiana knives. It should be here on Monday. He had 10 and they sold out in less than 1 minute.

I don't recall ever seeing a distributor or dealer drop an exclusive or Sprint on the weekend? I'm probably wrong but I just don't remember it happening. Any ideas from the experts?

From what I have seen things usually get dropped during the work week, during business hours. Which makes sense.

The speed at which these drops sell makes me wonder if a buying app or bot is doing much of the buying. Is anyone aware of such a thing? I can understand an announced drop selling fast but random timed drops on weekends no less seems stretched. Anyone in the Know?

Looks like weekend drops or at least sales do occur. Hard to keep a watch 24/7.
