Well I'm really glad to hear that Spydergirl :) Who do you think is going to win these upcoming night games i.e. Pats vs Ravens & Cowboys vs Giants?

I'm going with the Ravens & Cowboys. Also what was your take on the Chiefs vs Vikings game today? Always enjoy your input SG :)
Ravens vs Pats: Ravens awesome O vs Patriots awesome D.... Calling it for the Pats.
Cowboys vs Giants: You know I gotta pick the Cowboys cmon!
Our offense has been showing signs of life lately. Though Jones is suspectable to the sack/fumble. I just worry the defense will give Dak 4-5 seconds per pass attempt to dissect the defense yet again.

Well I called the RAVENS to win about 4 hours ago. There's a minute left on the clock but I don't know how Lord Brady is going to do 17 points in one minute. So I think it's safe to say the Marcia Brady lost his game tonight  Well I did a little better this week with my picks>> I'm 4 out of 6 so far.
Now if those Cowboys can win Monday Night I'll just be really happy.
I do think that the Giants new QB Jones is probably going to be a top rank QB in a couple of seasons. But he's definitely got talent. If the Giants beat the Cowboys on Monday Night I look for Jerry Jones to fire Jason Garrett>> which is something that should have been done 3 years ago IMO.
It was a really interesting day today in the NFL.

Well, sh*t! With this loss, now the Patriots are first place in the AFC! This season is a bust.

:D

Well, Harbaugh really did good job tonight! Before the game Harbaugh said that he builds his team to beat the Steelers and the Patriots, he doesn't worry about anyone else. It makes sense though, if you can beat the, undebatable, greatest QB and coach of all time then you have a good chance to beat anyone. Harbaugh has always given the Patriots a tough game. I'd say John Harbaugh, Sean Payton, and maybe Pete Carrol are the only coaches competent enough in this league to put together a good enough game plan to beat the Patriots this year! ;)

Lamar Jackson is one **** of a running back though, gotta give it to him! The Patriots run defense was pretty bad this game but they've always had trouble with mobile QB's. Lamar Jackson is on the next level of mobile, so I don't hold that against the Pats too much. Patriots secondary is still absolute lock down though. Patriots also had some uncharacteristic mistakes on both sides of the ball and pretty much beat themselves in this game. Their first neutral zone infraction was an iffy call; The Ravens center flinched and lifted his head, so it really could've gone either way. That lead to four points the Pats needed to tie it up mid game. Julian Edelmans fumble was a big momentum killer for them, coming on one of their smoothest drives of the game. Had they not given up that 7 points, they could've had the lead. Regardless, they go into their bye week this week and I have absolutely no worries that they'll have those mistakes cleaned up for the Eagles.

JD, you pick against the Patriots no matter what... You were bound to be right eventually. LOL

What I've always found interesting about the Ravens team is that historically and even now in this era the Ravens have been well known for their really stubborn defensive units. And you can go back to the 2000-2001 Ravens that won the Superbowl with even a lousy QB. Because if you tried to tell someone that Trent Dilfer won a Superbowl most people would immediately call you a liar. But he did.

But it really wasn't Dilfer as much as it was their sterling defense. Even when Joe Flacco and Ray Lewis won that Superbowl just a few years back it seemed like it was the defense then that really delivered the goods so to speak. I wasn't the only one who called for the Ravens to win this game tonight against the Evil Empire>> there were lots of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the week that proclaimed that one. Big time sports writers like Jason Whitlock and Stephen A. Smith and a few others I listened to throughout the week called it way before I did.

But this whole season has just been a crazy and unpredictable season since the first week. I've never seen so many back up QBs and Rookie QBs steal the show the way they are doing it in this 2019-2020 season. And some of these upsets are mind boggling>> like Green Bay getting beat by the Chargers today  I would have bet a C-Note against that happening especially the way they beat the Chiefs a week ago. And I'm still in shock the way the NY Jets beat the Dallas Cowboys about 3 weeks ago>> I would have bet a couple of C-Notes against the one>> and I would have lost too :o .

Also I would have bet big money against the Chiefs losing 3 home games at ARROWHEAD Stadium this season>> everyone of our opponents hates to play at ARROWHEAD stadium because of the noise level and hostile fans :D  Again it's just been a really crazy and topsy turvy season any way you look at it. Truly the AFC is still up for grabs IMO>> and the NFC is just getting wilder by the week. I'm still leaning toward the Packers & Cowboys in the NFC.

So, honest question, did you even watch the game last night? The Ravens defense was not their strength and clearly was not the problem for the Patriots. The Patriots run defense just wasn't there to start the game. The Patriots outscored the Ravens 20 - 13 from the end of the second quarter yesterday.

Yeah, but some of them have actual reasoning for their pick. You just pick against the Patriots for the sake of picking against the Patriots... Throw enough sh*t at the wall and eventually some will stick.
JD Spydo wrote:Big time sports writers like Jason Whitlock and Stephen A. Smith and a few others I listened to throughout the week called it way before I did.
LOL :D Jason Whitlock!? Thats a funny joke! Within the past couple weeks, he's come out and admitted he picks against the Patriots just because he wants to see them lose. He's just a Patriots hater, logic defies him. I'm not sure who I have less respect for, Jason Whitlock or Rob Parker... Seriously, they might be two of the worst personalities covering sports.
JD Spydo wrote: Also I would have bet big money against the Chiefs losing 3 home games at arrowhead Stadium this season>> everyone of our opponents hates to play at arrowhead stadium because of the noise level and hostile fans
Not this season! Opponents must thrive on that noise in arrowhead because Chiefs have lost three games in big bad arrowhead this season. The Vikings were a last second field goal short of making that four games.

Yes, what really doomed New England last were their inability to stop the Baltimore ground game and, of course turnovers.
That Juilan Edleman fumble really hurt.
But, it happens.
Honestly, I told my wife before the game started, as the Ravens were coming onto the field, and Ed Reed was in the house, ( they explained why Reed was there ) I told her, I got a bad feelin about the Patriots tonight, I really have a feeling Baltimore is gonna win.
I dunno, you could just see that the Ravens were truly fired up!
Someone had.menyioned it was a playoff game atmosphere.
I would agree hearing the crowd and watching the Ravens.
Not to take anything away from New England, mind you.
Just last night, the Ravens clearly wanted it more, and got the win.
It happens.

It is what it is>>> Well I could easily say you're a Chief's hater  But I'm not going down that road. No the only reason I even included that Pats game in my 7 picks was because I tend to look for surprises and upsets in at least 2 to 3 of my picks most of the time. What the heck I lost the Cowboys/Jets game and I didn't cry about that because I picked the Boys would win and I was as shocked as anyone was.
As far as these other guys making bad picks from time to time>> I've said it about 25 times that this season has been one of the hardest to predict of any season I've ever seen. But guys like Jason Whitlock and other I mentioned pick them better than most any of us do>> there's a reason they have those jobs in the sports industry>> Yeah they know the game and industry better than most of us do. And by the way Jason Whitlock used to be a Sportswriter for the Kansas City Star ( yeah our local newspaper) and he would predict against the Chiefs quite a bit while he was here.
And I seriously doubt you would have bet the Chiefs would have lost 3 home games before Mahomes got hurt>> I'm 99% certain of that.
But it's all in fun my friend>> Because "In The Department Store Of Life; Sports Is In The Toy Department>>> Case Closed ;)

Good points MAC :) That's kind of what I was trying to get across to Spyder-Brother Mushroom. Not only has this year been super tough to predict I've not ever seen a year that resembles this year ever>> and I've been watching the NFL since Lenny Dawson was the Chief's QB

Let me put it this way if any of us were to quit our day job and try to make a living betting on NFL football games or college games either for that matter it wouldn't even take but one or at the most two seasons to see most of us totally flat broke. There's very few people out there that can make big bucks at predicting anything much less sports.

Just last year the lowly Miami Dolfins beat the Pats and who on God's Green Earth would have bet a $10 bill that Miami would have won that game

You said it best>> it just happens and only GOD above knows why it happens>> unless unbeknownst to us maybe some games might be rigged for the gaming industry. My jury is still out on that one.

Theres a clip of Brady before the game greeting Ed Reed and Brady says something along the lines of, "Why did they have to bring you here, they must know you're my kryptonite!" So there is a lot of mutual respect between Brady and Reed.

The Ravens definitely played the better game! They were able to get pressure on Brady when they needed to most, they ran the ball better, and they won the turnover battle, which is usually where the Patriots specialize. If Julian Edelman didn't lose that fumble, we might have had a much closer game and different outcome but you're right, it happens! I'm glad it happened now too. This loss comes at a good time for the Patriots, they go into their Bye week with a lot to work on and practice. After the bye week though, we're on to Philadelphia!

OK for the Monday Night Game The Giant's vs The Cowboys I'm going way out on a limb but I still feel good about it. I'm not only picking the Cowboys to win but I'm picking them to win by at least 10 points. Zeke Elliot is way overdue for an explosive game. Prescott looked a lot better in that last game and the Dallas Defense is coming together in the past two games.

Not to mention that Jason Garrett's job in seriously on the line>> and a very, very thin line at that  I think he knows if he doesn't get them the division title this year he's toast. I think even one bad loss during this regular season could get him the boot immediately. Jerry Jone's ego isn't going to take any more humiliation this year I'm sure of it. I was kind of surprised that Garrett didn't get the ax last season.

But Garrett is going to pull out all the stops tonight because I know that him and key members of the team realize that there is no room for any more error this season. But we will know soon.

Also I'm in no way taking away what Daniel Jones has accomplished this season. I think in the next year or two he'll be a top 5 QB in the league. So Giant's fans have a lot to look forward to>> I just don't think it's going to happen tonight though.

Well I just got home a few minutes ago and finally turned the Dallas vs NY game on and the score is 9 to 3 in favor of NY. Jason Garrett better have some good game plans because this very well could be his last game with the Cowboys if he loses tonight.

Another aspect of this game as well as the Chief's game yesterday>> I also don't remember a year in which so many "Point After TDs" have been missed. There is already one in tonight's game.

I would hate to be in Jason Garrett's shoes this evening. He is literally in a "Do Or Die" situation any way you look at it.

Yeah how the **** did a black house cat get into the stadium without a ticket  Man the security at the MeadowLands must really be bad :D and to top all of that off Kevin Harlan ( the radio announcer) said that the cat has scored a TD while trying to escape the state troopers in pursuit of him.

Prescott doesn't look good at all tonight. ZEKE Elliot may be the only thing that saves them. >> The Dallas Tight End just scored a TD>> maybe Jason Garrett has hope after all :D

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the entire Cowboy's team is just plain sick. I was expecting far more out of ZEKE tonight. I'm not kidding if the Boys don't win this one I think we'll be watching a press conference tomorrow. It will be announcing Garrett's firing. I hope for his sake it doesn't come to that but this team is just simply anemic. The Dallas Cowboys team is about as dead as I've ever seen it. Are they even having practice during the week????????

If the Cowboys do lose tonight and it's sure looking like that will be the case>> then I'm just about 99% certain that Jason Garrett will be in the un-employment line. There is just no excuse for this. The entire team looks like they are all hung over after drinking scotch for 3 days straight.

How in the **** can Jerry Jones pay all the loot he's been paying these jerks and not get anything better than what I'm seeing. Jerry Jones was smart to hold out on paying Dak his big money contract he wanted so bad. He gave ZEKE his contract but he hasn't given one to DAK yet. I also got a feeling that Dak may not have a star on his helmet next year.

It's like I said earlier>> Jason Garrett should have been fired about 3 years ago. If he loses this game with the Giants it will be very soon when we hear the news.
