Just got it. It's my first manix 2 as well. It feels very solid and smooth. Perfect centering too. My only gripe is that the heel/choil area is oversharpened a tiny bit, and the edge near the front isn't as clean as I'd like. But I'm just nitpicking. I am well capable of sharpening my own knives, but I don't have any diamond stones at the moment!

The action on mine is wicked it seems to be adjusted perfectly . The blade is dead center to and when you hit the release the blade just drops almost to the close position just from gravity no flick .Lock up is rock solid with no play and the edge is perfect I can't see anything wrong with it threw my un-trained eyes lol. Razor sharp to I don't I have any hair left in my arms :D
Yup pretty happy with this one !

(OK, I'm going to try to stay positive with my response so people don't jump on me.)

It seems to me that these are very popular and dealers are getting these in in small batches. They get a batch in, post on facebook or whatever, someone posts on the forum that some are in, and they sell out by the end of the day. I get off work at 5:30 or 6:00, check the forums, find that I missed out from that dealer. I check all of the dealers at night and don't find them in stock anywhere.

I have bought from some online dealers but not all of them. I had really bad luck with a preorder from one of the dealers that seems to be a major dealer so I'm wary of preorders, certainly from that dealer. I see from responses that some people have placed preorders and not gotten their knives yet so that supports my caution.

Lots of different dealers have gotten the knives in at one time or another. I would prefer to buy from KW if it will work out, but they only had a few in stock for a brief instance. I may have to break my loyalty and buy from someone else, but for now I'll wait a little longer.

Just for grins: as of 5:40 pm central time... here is exactly what each website says:
KW- preorder only
CS- backorder
BHQ- out of stock
GP- out of stock
KC- available for preorder
HKS- out of stock

So I guess we wait a little longer.

With a little stropping too, the edge is still very sharp well capable of shaving hair, slicing paper, and cutting boxes. Sharp enough to be acceptable for me. Being I just bought a knife, I don't want to go on a diamond stone splurge LOL, but definitely in the next few months or so I'll own some DMTs. LOL I lubed it up with some nano oil and it is crazy smooth at the moment.

Yeah, I get it. I do. That statement I made was just a little joke as I had two preorders in and received one and before I could cancel the other one it showed up too. So like I said, I have one extra and available if someone wants one. Just trying to offer up the extra one I dont need. I dont want to put it on Ebay nor am I looking to make anything off it, just what I have into it. :)

They are going to come in waves. When I checked the other day, National Knives had around 50. They did sell out in less than 5 hours, but it will calm down some with additional shipments.
