I ordered my first manix 2 yesterday. This one is in 52100 steel. I also ordered a set of custom micarta scales for it.

Ooooooooo...definitely post some pics! I've got the same knife coming, actually out for delivery today. I'm digging the Gray/Black combo.
Sadly, my wife says I can take it out and inspect it and make sure it's ok...but can't have it until my birthday (May 27th) This is going to be the ultimate tease :o

Happy early Birthday! Great score on that Manix before they are all gone. I also made a bday purchase for myself last night, and wifey told me the exact same thing. Happy early Bday to you as well! At least you don't have to wait an entire month!! Thankfully I have a couple other Manix's too keep me occupied, but I really want that one in my pocket!! Just as awesome as I was hoping for!! Black liners are a great look as well. Wasn't very sharp out of the box to my surprise though. A couple minutes on the Sharpmaker solved that.
Also, a 30 minute massage/light scratching while watching TV tonight will allow me to have it now and not wait for my birthday haha!

Oh wow thanks for the pic, and glad you got ur knife now! Will you tell us about in in the coming days? I'd post a pic of my new Millie and it's family but I haven't worked out this pic hosting thing yet lol. KC Exclusive. I own the Grey in the full blown Military and I am not impressed how dirty it gets so swiftly but not bothered by it either I can always scrub it.
I can see why people make such a fuss over Cruwear that steel is really incredible and exceptional. It took me 2 weeks to dull the factory blade and it happened by accident cutting open a box with bottles and caps the blade went up against both and then 20 strokes on the Sharpmaker brown rods either side and it was good to go again.
No chipping or deformation to the blade either.

I sure will. I plan on using it at work tomorrow. I clean up and touch up every knife everyday after carrying them because I'm a bit OCD, so it doesn't bother me if it doesn't have amazing edge retention...but I suppose doesn't allow me to fully test a steel until it's actually truly dull. But now I'm rambling haha.

Yeah thats pretty much it; not stellar edge retention, but conversely it's easy to sharpen. It certainly won't dull too much over a days worth of use, so if you touch up every day you'll be fine. Additionally, the edge polishes to a mirror quite easily, if you like that sort of thing. Just got my Chaparral. Man is this thing skinny. It's a great size, but I wish it were just a little bit thicker.
