Hands down my best cardboard destroyer!!!…on a side note if y’all are working outside this week stay hydrated, I will go through a gallon jug of water today and two 28oz.bottles of Gatorade Zero or BodyArmor/two bananas and a pint of pickle juice if cramping…if you stop sweating stop working 💪😉
I can't believe they are discontinuing this little guy. One of my first ever spydercos
I can’t either, only wish I’d gotten it sooner cuz it’s a stud of a slicer.

my 20cv wharnie is so good that i'm taking my signet ring and pickpocket off of it to use normally and i just bought a waved delica to put the signet ring on instead. that's part of the reason i haven't bought a salt 2 wharncliffe also. the 20cv can't go swimming with me, but it's stainless enough for everyday use.

How do you like it compared to your YJ2? I was really considering one of the Delica options for an EDC and upgrading the scales, but I think I'd be happier with a slightly larger grip.

it's hard to compare them, honestly. the yojimbo has a wicked hollow grind that i love, but it won't slice as good as a knife that's thin all the way through. the yojimbo is stout and sturdy and heavy, while the delica is better for lighter edc tasks, especially while wearing lighter clothing. as stated previously here, the attack angle is also different. the delica has a lower tip and feels more like a utility knife, even though they are both very capable.

i'll try to take some pictures when i have a chance later. i really think they're quite different despite earlier suggesting (and standing by) the delica as a lw substitute.

i will say this... carrying my wharncliffe delica with the added features has made me want to carry it without them. i think i finally got my pickpocket settled, but early on, it was popping off and i couldn't get it to stay in place reliably. that's why i ordered the delica with the wave so i don't have to worry about it giving me problems. the pickpocket and signet ring also feel like they get in the way of me comfortably carrying and using an otherwise excellent edc knife that i want to carry and use. (i'll write more about this later in a dedicated thread as well)

all that to say the delica is a great lw edc knife that i want to carry and use. it feels more appropriate for my office environment than the yo2, but i also have no problem carrying the yo2 at work either. when i carry the yo2, it feels like i'm carrying a sd knife that works as an edc. when i carry the delica, i feel like i'm carrying an edc that could work in other applications as well. maybe i should've just said that.

i emailed awt and asked about the full manix grips. they said they have no plans to make them. i'm not buying skinny manix scales. i can't believe they wouldn't consider making standard shaped scales.

i had my spyderpac rolled up for a while, meaning i didn't change out my carry as often. and i didn't need to because i have a 15v manix with the best micarta scales out there and a pacific salt to carry. but today i wanted something quick and light and grabbed the astute. i don't think of this knife very often because of its place in my collection, but it's really so good.

I have a set for the Para 3 LWs in bound. Since it is a choil grip only model for me I think the skinny will be fine.

On the Manix, I'm with you all the way. Rockscale designs, I think is the way to go on those man. At least that is my plans. Too many people on here rave about them. The linerless construction even makes the standard S30V model an option for me personally.
