Nice pictures! Can't wait for mine to show up. I also like the new picture format. Nice and big!

Hi Roman, I strive to make my onscreen pics look the same as the knives in real life. Light is key of course, as is screen quality, but yes; this is what the Red G10 Persian looks like in daylight under an overcast sky in the Netherlands. :)

Wouter, that 1st pic of the drop point UKPK is so nice - I wish it was in my calendar. Also, you take nice pics of SS models - I don't know how you do it.

- best wishes, Jazz.

Hey Wouter, those are some amazing pictures of the Persian.

The UK Penknife shot is really amazing. I am surprised you aren't in the Calendar.

Those ATR/Lava shots are really outstanding. Fantastic work on those. I can't believe how the lines appear to match up so well.

The new image size is nice. I like larger images. The only problem is that the images don't agree with the forum website too well. Maybe it is just my web browser, maybe someone can post if they are or aren't having the same issues I am. Here is a little rundown of what I see:

The default width of the posts, which are centered, are 800 pixels wide. The 800 pixel wide posts are determining the centering. Your images are 1024 pixels wide, this makes the width of your posts 1062 pixels wide. The width I have to make my browser window to fit your pictures without cutting off or scrolling is 1370. Scrolling is actually a pretty easy alternate to the problems.

Do you mind if I ask which Sprints you missed?

Thanks, I prefer to shoot outdoors during the daytime with an overcast sky. Nothing filters the sun quite like clouds, in my experience. I use a wee bit of photoshop to accentuatesome lines or colors, but I usually aim to make it as close to 'real life' as possible.

I have the same problems with the Spyderco website that you described, my screen resolution can depict the larger pictures fine, but the thread displays it a little awkward.

One sprint that got away from me, that still kind of hurts, is the blue Manix 2. And I'm also starting to regret not going after one of those burgundy micarta baby goddards.

Wouter,
It is always great to see your new pictures. I love the look of T2, Spyderwrench looks great as well. I did something stupid couple years ago: I saw original Spyderwrench in near mint condition on the knife show for around $50 and didn't get it. :o :( I guess, cannot buy everything.
Thank you for sharing pictures.

Ouch! It is a fact of life for collectors though, something will slip through your hands that you regret. In my case it was a Lum Fixed. :o

If it wasn't clear already, my 'wrench is from the batch that was release two years ago IIRC.

I posted most of these pictures in the past, but they got lost when I transferred to one website to the other. A few rainy days and a forum discussion a few weeks ago prompted me to re-post the pics again, this time in the new large format.

Here's a sampling, all pictures of my Spyderco HQ visits can be found on my site.

Excellent pics as always Wouter! Is the orange manix2 liner skeletonized or full?

Skeletonized, it's much lighter in the hand than my regular production Manix 2.

Nice catch. I had to trade an Orange one, had to make sure they were still in stock before trading. My second one came in the same day the trade did. :D

Nice score on that trade and the 'extra' Orange M2 coming in, you must have had some tense moments.

No, maybe I worded that poorly. I had an Orange Manix 2, got a trade offer on it, then checked to see if CS still had them in stock. Ordered a replacement the same time as I made the trade. The trade for the first Manix arrived the same day as the replacement.

By the way, the SFO pictures are great. :)
